Pls update my 2nd AOR, letter dated 4th April, received 6th April.

On the letter, it says clearly VO will do the final eligibility review. If not satisfying, they will send a letter with reasons and refund the application fee.

Exactly 30 days from the date of PER, Singapore VO issued 2nd AOR for post June 26.

Congrates hope 2011

Dont worry about 2nd eligibility review thing. Singapore VO issued my 2nd AOR on 24 march, reviewd my application again and started processing from 30 March. SO they usually dont take more than 7 days for review.

Hi,

The only way to check is by asking the bank....which bank did u take the DD from ? i m surprised that they said that u cant find out ....i just called the bank (mine was axis bank) to find out if the DD was encashed ......i m sure all banks will know when the DD gets payed to the beneficiary :

try calling them after 10 days, once u send the docs to the VO.....or u will have to wait till u receive the receipt from VO :-X

Even I was surprised when I got the response from 'Kotak' Bank that they have no way to know if it gets encashed or not.

Anyways, we will be submitting the BD after the Medicals are done and I think I will try my luck by calling the bank after 10 days of submitting to see if their response changes. If however, they still don't budge and have the same unprofessional response, I think we will have no other option than praying and waiting for the receipt from the VO.

I certainly hope so. I think they will just do a re-scanning of the documents and see if CIO made any mistakes. Let's hope our theory is correct. At the same time keep fingers crossed.

Well, i was actually a bit scared about the medicals part .. BUT, it turned out to be a 'What?' thing! Yes, literally we just had,

1. Height/weight/vision check
2. HIV/VDRL blood tests
3. X-ray of Chest
4. Urinalysis
5. Very casual physical examination - She just checked for the BP, heartbeats(sure it was racing ) asked us about the previous surgeries. Only my spouse was asked if he had some BP or sugar problems and that was before even checking his BP. Believe me, she took more time to check the kiddo than both of us

Well, that was it, we were asked to hang on until the Urinalysis results were cleared and then we were asked to go

Unsure if this was one of the laziest DMPs around :, but who cares ? We are done with the medicals

As you say I think 2nd eligibility review is nowhere near as thorough as CIO's - it is IMO a "quick check" against 67 points and duties to ensure CIO made no big errors.

So do people think that we're safely through the 2nd eligibility review once we go "In Process" with "we started processing on XYZ" on ECAS?

Thanks Pavan But no way we are going to get the new passport in a week's time .. The great passport office site has some silly bug in their online registration and I'm struggling for an appointment for the past 3 days. We are thinking of April 20th for submitting the docs may be ???
