You rejected CSQ can be a proof that you no longer want to settle in Quebec. You can write an explanatory letter that after completing your PhD you will leave Quebec.

By the way: in my opinion, it is much easier to get CSQ rather than other streams. Why was your CSQ got rejected?
I beg to differ Indusvision, CSQ was easier say 4 years ago when it was just a matter of applying. Now they have strict guidelines regarding employment category, Occupation code, clearing of exams if your occupation falls under an order of Quebec and above all French competency. If you are not spanish speaking originally or have not taken french in high school, its fairly tough to get an intermediate level french certification, with research and all the coursework etc etc. trust me. It takes tons of time, motivation and believe it or not tons of money as on a study permit you cannot access free courses offered by Quebec govt.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I needed 3 points to be eligible to get CSQ. The interviewer gave 2 (out of 6) points for my adaptability!! and I got 7/16 for French during the interview.
I took the IELTS exams on this Saturday and crossing finger to get a good result. But I haven't taken any French exam.
I can re-apply for CSQ, that it is much more safer way for me but I'll need to prepare for French that needs time and money :(
However, I can also apply to FSW through PhD stream. But I am afraid that living in Quebec might cause some problem. I don't know what to do :(

This is a good question because a lot of international students (have not graduated yet) here have worked as RAs for more than 2 years, so we might be qualified as foreign workers

That is my point.

Even though the intention is for people with Temporary work permit, it was not stated sensu stricto in the manual.

It just says one must be a temporary foreign worker with the right authorization to work( NOC 0,A,B) and I believe we all qualify for this.

ummm, but if you open the documents checklist, in the section for "work experience in Canada", you will find that the following documents are required:

Copies of your most recent work permit (so it seems that work permits are must, otherwise they should have said work/study permits instead)
Copies of T4 (Our RA payments are issued in T4A slips not T4), so it might not count

maybe!

they are too clumsy, they might screw-up things easily... my friend got his application returned because of missing document in june... resubmitted and actually they were looking for a different doc... and sent it back again... he learnt this after talking to his MP :)

anything might happen

BHA. Massoud will be crossing the 400 days mark this week! So disappointing! At least if they used a first in first out processing system we would know that our applications are in the queue.

Can you please tell us which document they were looking for? so that we (new applicants) make sure to avoid that mistake.

Thanks!

first they said the attestation form... then they said work exp, then it is understood that he needed to get another letter from his department to prove he is TA/RA there... lol :)
