I share pretty much the same sentiments as GeoCanadian , but I'm glad that you got things worked out, and hopefully you (and other early March guys as well) will get your medicals soon. And yeah, Phoenix winter would be a substansial improvement over Alberta...TyrusX said:My co-supervisor, who is Canadian, deserted to the USA! But it beautiful here, 40 degrees every other day!

I see... Well, as long as you don't decide to stay in the U.S. forever, I guess we can forgive you... ;D Good luck with everything...TyrusX said:My co-supervisor, who is Canadian, deserted to the USA! But it beautiful here, 40 degrees every other day!

Me too.asbereth said:I saw an appearance of my address on my eCas status (just today), though I have yet to receive anything from Ottawa. Everything else is exactly the same (only said 'We received bla bla bla' when I clicked 'IN PROCESS'). Guys, check your online status as well, and see if anything shows up.
Thanks very much for your very detailed information, kg.jadu. I appreciate it a lot!kg.jadu said:Aaron2012, the appeal may take about 1 month or so to be processed. I guess I was lucky to have received my PER just within 4 days after appealing. But if you don't receive the email concerning your case, write another letter in which state that you believe there was a mistake in the assessment of your application and quote IMM7000 (Factor 6.B) and OP6B (Chapter 9.15.b) in pursuant to R83:
B. Previous study in Canada:
• You or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner studied at a
post-secondary institution in Canada for at least two years on a full-time basis.
This must have been done after the age of 17 and with a valid study permit.
b) Previous study in Canada:
• Award five points if the applicant or accompanying spouse or common- law
partner completed a program of full-time study of at least two years' duration
at a post-secondary institution in Canada, if this occurred after the age of
seventeen and with valid study permits.
(The person is not required to have obtained an educational credential for these
two years of study in Canada to earn the points, but simply to have completed at
least two years of study.)
And then ask to reconsider your application for further review. Fax this letter to (902) 270-8530. I have no idea what number is this, except that it works. On the cover page, write your name and application number. You will get a regular email from the same address your NER came from, saying that your application has been forwarded to a visa office for further processing.
And keep fighting. We are eligible for those 5 adaptability points.
Thanks very much, MapleDream. You guys are awesome.MapleDream said:It took me near a month to receive their feedback. Maybe you just need a little more patience. A few overturned the NER decisions successfully. Your situation is similar as theirs.

I got NER on 24th of May..but my address is also updated. So, I dont think it means anything significant. I have appealed though.......moonbow2010 said:I googled and found out that appearance of the address meant starting processing our cases.
It could lead to medical requests(hopefully, for all of us, it is the case), interview requests or something else.
Pray for all the PhD applicants.
Did you encounter the same problem of the adaptability points calculation for Canadian education experience?sam001 said:I got NER on 24th of May..but my address is also updated. So, I dont think it means anything significant. I have appealed though.......
Hi Karmen, I just noticed that you got your PER on Feb 24? So you haven't heard anything from Ottawa yet? Hmmm, this could mean that the processing date actually depends on the date the application is received rather than PER?Karmen said:application reached CIO in Sedney Dec. 7th, 2011
