Probably a good sign. I can't even sign in as my husband. So I sign in as me and it just shows his name...no address that I see. Unless I'm not looking in the right place. haha.

I do hope you hear something soon. Makes me feel a little more encouraged that my husband could still possibly arrive in the year of 2015, but we will see I guess.

Mine did the same thing a few months after I received SA! Nothing to worry about (it was part of a system upgrade), I take it as a good sign because it shows the intention that that will be your husband's address in the future!

you still haven't received anything from Mexico with a UCI number for your husband?
I only saw the address change, because I signed it with my husbands UCI info.

No sadly I haven't heard anything from Mexico. I have two theories about it:

One- they aren't going to send AOR2 to me until they have caught up with all the folks who are waiting from June 2014 to December 2014....there's seems to be a lot of folks backed up. So basically AOR2 will likely not be sent for several months is my guess with this theory.

OR...

Two- our file is still in Canada and hasn't ACTUALLY been sent to Mexico yet for some dumb reason.

I'm trying not to worry about it since I think its unfair of me to complain considering there are many folks that applied months before me and still haven't heard anything. We will try to be patient. Its hard and the distance can be wearing at times. This week seems to be particularly different for me. I'm so emotional this week that I end up getting angry at my husband for something so stupid. I can say its stupid now, but man long distance is rough at times.

Anyways...hope good news is out there for everyone.

I'm sure it was sent to Mexico by now. You're probably right with your first theory... they are trying to get through all the files that were originally in SD. I have a feeling though that Mexico is going to pull through and pick up SD's slack.

My husband and I try not to talk about this stuff about the visa, because it makes it harder! It's been 6 months exactly since we filed, and somedays it feels like the last 6 months flew by and other days it feels like it has been dragging. It is definetely a dragging kind of few days for me. The distance is really hard, I lived in DR for the majority of our relationship, so we are not really use to going months without seeing each other.

What is that saying? Good things come to those that wait. The waiting really sucks, but soon it will be behind us all!

I wouldn't worry so much! Your time will come! This unexpected transition just put a small hiccup in the process that's all! Mexico seems to be working fast! Try to remember why your doing this! I know it's tough and there are highs and lows, but your husband is going through the same emotions and instead of getting upset with each try and reassure him that even tho its hard to be apart soon you will both be together driving each other crazy! Me and my husband often joke how miserable we are when we're apart and how we drive each other crazy when we're together! When you find yourself down and emotional just talk to your husband and tell him how you feel, because he's the only other person who will understand what your going through! That may help turn anger into a show of love and support for each other! And you can always vent to is here, because girl we've all been there and some are still there!

I haven't heard anything either but at least Mexico is moving fast.

I have something else that it's worrying me. I am with a visitor visa in Canada that expired this month, I applied to extend my visa 30 days before it expired. I saw on the website that they are far behind, taking 80 days to give response. If my visa expire before they make a decision,, I go on a implied status until they make a decision? I mean can I stay here? I saw somewhere in this forum that I could but I just want to make sure. Does anyone knows anything about this?

Sorry Nreilly, I don't know either. I would start a new topic in the forum and reach out to some senior members, they would be able to answer your questions.

I posted this in the Dominicano Spouses FB group, but I thought I would post it here to. I never had to do this but apprently this is the way your supposed to obtain a PCC in the DR.

Apparently with applications going through Mexico, you must go to Santo Domingo to bring your PCC to the Canadian Consulate (not the Embassy) there and drop it off, (you get it back in three days).

They then put it in their system, validate/legalize it and send an email copy to Mexico Embassy to let them know it’s valid and you get it back within the three days.

It’s not clear if you have to get the PC in Santo Domingo or you can get one from the city you reside in an bring it, but you have go to the Canadian Consulate in Santo Domingo to have them put it in their system. Then you have to have the document translated into English and send it off to Mexico.

My best friend is doing her application now and is in Santo Domingo with her husband. She was told by an employee at the consulate that the Embassy in Santo Domingo was supposed to do it this way and they were not, which is part of the reason things switched over to Mexico.

FYI – my friend got her PCC in Santo Domingo and they sent her over to the consulate to have it validated. She was there on Monday at 7 a.m., along with her husband and my husband (who had to re-d his medicals). The system was down to get the PCC, so she had to stay in SD and got the PCC on Tuesday (They waited 7 hours), but by the time they got it, the Consulate was closed so she had to stay an extra day and they got to the consulate today. They are headed back to POP and will pick it up on Monday.

She said the lady said this will not affect PC’s done before the switch, but shes not sure about ones done after.

She said when she returns on Monday she will inquire about whether or not they can go to any consulate or if it has to be in SD.

This is news to me, we got our PC from SD and just sent it in after I got translated in Toronto.

I'm curious as to why they had to wait 7 hours to get the PCC??

line ups, there were a lot of people (they were #97 in the line and they got there early at 7 a.m.), plus the system kept shutting down, and they have to wait for the justice to sign off on it. When me and my hubby did ours, it took 3 hours of waiting, just to get the PCC. I've heard people getting it in 30 minutes to 8 plus hours. I guess it all depends on the day. Although I did have a friend who got it 20 minutes, but the person who told her he could get for them in 20 minutes ended up giving them a fraudulent copy.

Yeah we were there for hours. I just sat waiting and then was so tired that I told my husband I was going to sleep in the car. hahaha... I would say we were there for 3 hours and they almost didn't even let us be processed BECAUSE there were just SOOOO MANY people there. Glad that portions is over. Now just to wait to hear good things!!
