we just received an email from Mexico.. I don't know why they even sent it because we already received an email that they have our file and will contact us within 2 months.. this is pretty much the same except worded different

Just talked with hubby and he said that he waited for 3 hours in SD. Fingers crossed that we did everything correctly to avoid any problems with the processing in Mexico.

That must of been frustrating when you opened it up and realized it was the same email. But it's also a sign that your file is there and being looked at.

Lol! I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing! On one hand, the time they take to send out these emails, they could be working on files, but on the other, it's nice to know that they are keeping us informed and up to date with the process, it's much more than I can say for the SD Embassy. Certainly is nerve-wracking!!!!

Not that I want to send an email right now because it would only slow the workers down in Mexico but have any of you sent new information to the embassy while your application was in process. About a month ago I visited my husband, and I want them to know that my relationship is continuing. Should I wait until they ask for more proof?
What are your recommendations about this?

I have heard that it is not necessary, or recommended to send new information unless it is requested by the VO.
I think they would be bombarded with updated information daily if everyone was sending new information.
If they question that you're relationship is genuine or not, they will request new evidence. Otherwise, no need.

Hi guys

This message is for anyone in the SPM area. Today my husband (all excited and eager to go) went to UPS to verify that he could send the passport to Mexico with a paid return waybill from Mexico to DR. The girl at this location said that they CAN NOT do that there and we are suppose to go to SD to get that option. Thought I share this little bit of information as it's news to me. I know on the Dominican fb group they said to use UPS, so hubby wanted to go ahead of time to check things out.

my husband lives in SD and he said that UPS or Fedex can do the return. I am soooooo glad he lives in SD, I feel really bad for everybody who has to travel to and from the Capital. I wonder why outside of SD they won't do it?

We're talking about dominican here lol. I've learned that people love to push a task or job onto someone else.
My real guess is that the lady my husband was talking to today doesn't know how to do it.
