I got my passport back. I sent it ottowa not Ankara since I reside in Canada. It took 1 week to get my passport back. It came with instructions for landing!

Great! So no need to worry about renewing your work permit. My wife also got her passport back from Ankara in exactly 7 days and she flew to Canada the following day.

Yes, thanks. The landing in Toronto went really fast and very smoothly. My wife says that "Canadians are very friendly." She has put on 5 lbs since last Friday, eating my mom's cooking. We're having a celebration of our wedding for my family and friends this Sunday at our community hall in Dorchester, NB, where she will get to meet everyone.

In the meantime, I keep checking this thread, hoping and expecting to hear good news from you, Ahmelina23 and Manitobagirl. Hopefully this week!

I want to reunite with my hubbie as soon as possible I sent out a specific inquiry 10 business days ago because the mailing address I see on the cic website is spelled wrong but it wasn't my mistake it was the government who posted it wrong the site but they haven't gotten back to me yet .. so hard to wait

These are all june applicants so don't worry hopefully you will hear from them soon. They may not answer specific enquiries but do the change. The mailing address is not very important if you already are getting emails from them. They never mailed me so far. I know it is hard to wait.

Don't get jealous becouse we are June applicant but I know ppl who got PPR in 3 months. I believe proceeding time is shorter in 2017...you need to REQUEST GCSM note not specific inquiry. That's for when you need to update your information or processing time is over and still nothing then you sent inquiry..the email address is correct. Spelt wrong. ANKRA...but correct email address..you can request GCSM note more then one in a month..that's what I did...got 2 GCSM notes in a month..informative!

Why is taking so long for our spouses to come to Canada? what exactly are they checking that is taking so long?Especially when it comes to husbands.How long that security check takes? I am reading on the news that 22 refugees crossed the border from US this weekend, and i guess they don't have to wait or go over security checks.I am just frustrated with this whole process. It's not fair.

Exactly.. that security check can be done in 20 min that's obvious otherwise those refugees would wait 2 months!
