I think CIC don't want to update BGC or any others except DM!
My father applied for a visitor visa and they didn't update his myCIC! It passed 2 months from beginning and 1 month from biometric!
I think they just update ECAS and myCIC for DM! because they want just do the applications process faster as they can!

Who are you sponsoring? Answer is there.

I am from Afghanistan and now living in Turkey with short term resident and want to start applying for sponsorship from Turkey. So for this option or selection what should I choose, My country Afghanistan or my residence country now where I live in Turkey. All our documents, like marriage certificate, ID and ect... are issued by Afghan government. Should I select in the country of Residence, TURKEY and in (Documents issued by another country option) AFGHANISTAN.

What is the country of residence of the person being sponsored?

The country a person is living in. A person’s country of residence may be different from their country or countries of citizenship.
If the person being sponsored resides in Canada, select Canada.

There is another option which is new to add another country who issued documents ! Please have a review and add your opinions.

Do you need to submit documents issued by another country?

Select a country or territory to get country specific instructions for your documents such as passports, birth certificates, marriage or divorce certificates, national identification cards, military service documents (eg. military booklets), and/or other civil documents.

My wife picked up her passport at the VAC in Tbilisi today! She will be landing in Toronto-Pearson on Thursday evening and arriving in Moncton at 1:20 am Atlantic Time on Friday morning! My family will be meeting her for the first time at the Moncton airport. They are all very excited!

You'd better wait and see if they ask you for more documents. No point to send them now (just my opinion) unless if you are missing some important document for example marriage certificate, etc. But in terms of pictures, chats, etc couple of documents will be enough. I sent 10 pictures all together, 10 pages of selected chat records and couple of tickets for trips and I already passed eligibility. Eligibility is quick what takes time is security. You may request GCnotes to see if you have already passed some of the steps.

I got my DM on 28 jan, but i haven't gotten my ppr yet!

Does anyone know how long does it takes for sending an e-mail to me?!

Hi. Maybe wait till Friday and if you don't get the email send them a specific enquiry.

There was a case with one of the people in this forum ,truthprev, that they took couple of months after DM. But the issue was his wife was living in a country other than her country of citizenship and Ankara and they wanted to ask her to submit her passport to the Canada visa office in her country of residence instead of Turkey and somehow they forgot. I think eventually she could get visa. Specially if the applicant is living out of Canada/citizenship country/Turkey email them to ask what is happening. But I hope you will get it this week. It used to be a day after DM but now it seems it takes couple of days even for a normal case.
