I went to the US border today and landed as an immigrant! ;D

Congratulations I remember you mentioned that your visa was going to expire at the end of February.. hopefully, you still have your job and your contact can be extended as a PR now I'm glad this journey is over for you

Why is taking so long for our spouses to come to Canada? what exactly are they checking that is taking so long?Especially when it comes to husbands.How long that security check takes? I am reading on the news that 22 refugees crossed the border from US this weekend, and i guess they don't have to wait or go over security checks.I am just frustrated with this whole process. It's not fair.

Unfortunately, background/criminal check is the longest we can't compare to refugees, although I agree that it's unfair because the entire process could be completed within 1-3 months but they are taking their time and postponing our lives I'm praying every day to finally see the golden e-mail for my husband! I agree, for some reason it does take longer for husbands...
I feel it's coming, we just have to stay strong!

Thank you everyone. My first GCnote from Nov showed everything passed except security. Security was shown as if someone used a correction pen to delete the lines in between. Anyone has the same experience?

Another week pass and no news. Just wandering may be we should contact CSIS to find out if they completed security checks? I can't remember who, but someone mentioned before that VO usually send this requests in bunches. Not sure what to do anymore.

Same here and still in Process today . I requested GSMC notes end of Jan and it generally takes a month to get them back. I am waiting till end of Feb to get the notes and also end of Feb is the end of processing time for my nationality and then I may go to a MP to follow up.

Have you sent the request?

Lets hope we three will all hear something by end of Feb or first week of March.

I guess i have to order notes again. I went to local MP last week, and haven't heard from him yet. I did send another e-mail to Ankara, same automated reply. We have to be proactive, because they will just forget about us. Keep praying ladies, it's the best power.

Exactly! We shouldn't sit quiet even though some say that we just have to wait. When it comes to the end of processing time, we have to do something about it! I was thinking of getting local MP involved, but my processing time is not over yet, although it's been 2 months since the interview

Just like strength2, I also ordered GCMS notes at the end of January hoping that they will have some influence on the office based on previous experiences. I really hope that all 3 of us will hear great news this month for sure!

In my notes from January, 2017 my husband pass medical, eligibility criminality. Security-It was blank. So finally i went to MP, and my advise to all of you Ahmelina23 and strenght2 do not wait until your time is up to contact MP. So, today MP confirmed that they are still waiting for security check to be completed. How long it will take he does't know. But i should follow up with MP office mid. March and they will be calling Ankara again.Advice- do not let your file just sit there.
