I think as long as you send to CIC your ID thats giving by whatever the nationality you are. forexample if you are Turkish then you need to send to CIC your Turkish id traslation along with fotocopy. if you are englisf the your ID that is gven by England should be sent. if you have couple of ID s you can send them I guess. more information doesnt hurt..but I am not a pro..I am telling you what i would do.

Shoot...I got an interview request ;now i need to go to Turkey.

I've heard Ankara likes to call people over for interviews :( My friend's wife got a request for an interview as well, she's going there in November.
In terms of interview, my lawyer told me just in case that if interview does happen then you must know all the dates you wrote in the application. They might ask questions like how you met your spouse, when was your engagement/wedding, if you lived together for a certain period of time and so on. The most important thing is to be confident:)
Apparently they might ask for an interview even if everything is passed and approved, that's what happened to my friend :(
I still haven't heard anything from Ankara and I'm a June applicant as well.

When did your friend's wife apply and from which country? Did she receive a request for documents prior to being invited for the interview?

They applied back in December and their application went into process in March - from Azerbaijan. She didn't receive a request for documents because they submitted everything and in August she received a letter that everything was approved. However, now she received an invitation to the interview which is weird because they said her application was approved, it's been 2 months and they decided to call her for an interview, very strange :(

Did they ask her to bring more proof of genuine relationship?

Yes, proof of relationship documents and civil documents. They want to see new photos and conversations as well.
It's still strange that it took the office that long and everything was approved but suddenly they want more proof.

How was she previously approved - ECAS, MyCIC and/or email?

By email. No update on ECAS and MyCIC is not linked to her application.

Did the email tell her that she was approved and asked her to send her passport?
