Dear peony do you mind tell us what was the reason for interview?

Most people have interviews.
This is what was written in the letter: "The examination of your application includes a personal interview with a visa officer."

I guess if you know your spouse for less than 2 years, you'll have an interview.

I am also an Iranian sponsor. Before, I started my application process, I talked to a consultant and she told me most of the Iranians get an interview no matter what... I am not sure if that statement is correct or not...I wish you all the best for your interview process and hopefully, everything goes well for you..

Yes, indeed. Only 4 months and no interview required. They must be thrilled!

I know that on the website it says the process time for Ankara VO is 12 months, but I've heard from others that it usually takes way less, well of course each case is different Does anyone know how this office usually work? What's the tendency of getting an interview and the overall waiting period based on experience?

Does anyone know whether Ankara VO is quick to process the PR visa after requesting applicant's passport? Can the passport be sent and returned via commercial courier?

What I know from this forum is if you are from Iran interview is for sure regardless what you provide to CIC. You can get your PR max in 6 months..if your case easy straight forward. An April applicant got PASSPORT request couple of days ago.

My husband is from Russia, the reason why it's via Ankara is because of his birthplace, Azerbaijan, which is weird because he's a citizen of Russia as of now.

What date did you apply? What is your husband's status now on ECAS and MyCIC?

I applied on June 1st, they started processing on June 20th and the file got transferred to Ankara on August 2nd
On ECAS - 3 lines, it's currently in process but we never received AOR2 but I heard some VO don't send it. Did you receive AOR2?
As for MyCIC, I didn't link it because we are doing it via lawyer and I've heard it might get messed up if I connect them. But I tried linking once and it didn't work
