Hi
Applied again yesterday and something is very strange on my tracking number i submitted my documents passport and cover letter with rejection yesterday at 2pm in vfs office lahore.

And today i tracked my package and it says

Visa application, tracking ID No.20140627PKLHTRV*****+ Your processed passport has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 27/06/2014 and is ready for collection. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

How it could be my processed passport as i submitted yesterday. :( and what does this ready for collection means?? Does it mean dat they didnt even fwd my application to islamabad :(

Sad to hear that. It seems like a pretty okay profile over all. 55 lac might be over doing for a visit visa. But for some body owning a good running business it should be fine. I would just add that for people from Canada including CIC, going for sister's baby may not be a good enough reason to give visa.

But then they should have mentioned purpose of visit instead as a reason. That is all i can say with the info you could give.

If you are very keen may be you could order GCMS notes to see the reason for refusal. But i am not sure notes are also available for visit trv. They are available for all other sorts of visas. They state clear observation or concerns of the visa officer for CIC's internal record and often greatly help people for fixing their reasons of refusal when they reapply.

55 lac is not overdoing it. I showed 100 lac n husband showed 10 lac n then I got the visa. Show property in ur name and good bank account. I think that's basically the biggest deciding factor. Show a good cover letter , convincing letter of intent, and invitation letter.

i think money bank statement should reasonable and can be justified. i have many people with very high bank statements and their visas are refused and same time very low bank statement like 6 or 7 lac get visas.

I usually don't have the time or energy to debate over a difference of opinion. But here is what i would say.

There is no fixed figure for a high or low barrier. So if you got approval with 100 lac it does not mean that is enough or less is low or any thing.

It totally depends upon your individual profile and how the money you have matches for / against it. Of course it is positive if you own property and have a good amount of money. It shoes ties - but only when it becomes apparent otherwise too that you are the owner of all stuff shown.

I thought the OP was a relatively younger person. 55 lacs is definitely too much for a student / fresh guy (unless he shows proof of being from a rich family) has business or any thing.

Far too often i have seen cases where people with NORMAL profiles apply with insanely high amounts of money. And CIC takes that these guys have a lot and might not even need to work there to support themselves and hence can over stay illegally specially if they have a relative there.

Hence, build a good estimate of the amount you could have owned / earned and saved over a course of time, compare that with what one would need to spend in Canada for your visit. At best submit SUFFICIENT enough - some what more than what you need. It is NEVER RECOMMENDED to show insanely huge amounts of money unless you belong to some known name in / outside the country.

I applied and got approved for a family of 5 (with less than PKR 100K in my account (whose statement i submitted) for Canada. For US when i applied and got approved i barely had a few 10's of Ks. Does that mean i would start recommending to others - to base their finances on this. A Big NO. Every case and profile is different. So we simply can't relate those. Having too little or too much amount of money than what you should have / need to have for a trip there always raises questions. That is the point i am trying to convey. To me people seem to value funds amounts a bit too much compared to their profiles. Which is definitely not taken into account by CIC that much.

And this opinion is not written any where but it comes after going through this process as well as seeing at least a few hundred such cases. Still, at the end of the day, it is an opinion. Cheers

That is extremely unusual. But you should try calling VFS to see if they could confirm it. It might just have been a system generated error.

If they don't allow tracking on phone (Fedex used to do that before they turned in VFS - so i am not very certain about recent tracking) and you cannot check either on their website or any thing, then its only best to collect and see what happened.

If it did undergo processing (which is unlikely if you ask me), it could have been some thing major missing which made them refuse or it could have just been a mistake and your passport might not even be there.

The only thing that we can say for sure at this point, that it is not a successful response. Because there is no way CIC can approve a visit visa that fast.

The fastest ones ever heard still need a week or so.
