My ecas has been in process since June 26 as well. The 2-4 weeks timeline is for Indian citizens only. As per my MP inquiry, timeline for Afghans is still 33 months; which is ridiculous if true.
Also, Hope_123 's husband was recently issued a visa and you MUST provide a mailing address in Pakistan...no other way around it.
Also, I see at least 6-7 of us are waiting in IP stage...maybe they will process all Afghan cases together at some pint before the end of the year inshAllah.

Even my MP enquiry said the same thing when it was " Application Received ". It changed to In Process the following day so its quite difficult to predict NDVO. They are un predictable.

I wonder, when does your medicals expire? I hope they didnt email and request for new medical. Maybe thats why its taken a while for you guys to change? Have you ordered your gcms note?

So far, Hope and Nick has gotten their visa. We should soon, be strong and ours will come shortly!

We better vote for a better government this time. 3 years of wait is too much and complete nonsense.

Salam Everyone,

Please be advised that not only Afghans are waiting longer at the IP stage. There are even people who are from India waiting longer than normal these days.

Also MP is wrong in most cases about 33 months timeline for AFG people. Because Afghanboy's wife got her Visa within a year or less after applications was submitted.

So basically it's all your luck and the Visa Officer. Some take their sweet time and some actually work hard to clear applications faster.

You are right... It is just formality. Even people from Pakistan came in less time. It just depends on how lazy people are at the visa. It is the same at the Afghan Consulate. Before, I went there, peope were so reasonable, efficient and effective, and I went there recently, I said "Oh God, what hooligans are employed here". They have no consideration for their own people to verify a Nikkakhat if it was issued by Afghan Consulate in Peshawar, it takes them a year.... I guess lazy people like these work at the visa offices overseas...

Mind me asking at what stage most of us are in?

Our case is In Process ( sorry, im lazy to edit my timeline)

What are you guys? Application received or In Process? If you dont mind me asking also the date?

Exactly, like my husband did his re-medical on Sep 23rd 2014, the Doc told him to call back in two days, he did and he was told to call the next day.
He called again the next day they were like call tomorrow again. yesterday he called again they were like it is sent to New Delhi but there is no one in the office because of Eid to give you the Reference number so call after Eid. It is very sad to deal with these kind of people. :(

Thanks for information. So its still " Application Received". I am sure by this monday or tuesday it will get Updated. If not then by October 22. Be postive, we have went through worse. This is nothing. Being angry and upset is not going to lead us anywhere except more frustration. The patience kills but soon you will unite and live peacefully!

This experience will be great for your family members and your future kids when you do their sponsorship!

Again, be postive and something will come by October 22, I have dreamed about many of us getting IP, DM and PPR.

I am lazy to edit the timeline. I enjoy commenting and looking at other posts. I am praying not just for my spouse but all afghans with their waits. It seems the indians are getting easy way in where as Afghans are given the end of the stick.

I live in Vancouver. My spouse is in Delhi. I came to here since February 26. I have been with her since i completed her sponsorship and as she has noone here other than myself. I am accompanying her back to Canada as its scary traveling abroad for the first time.

Our application is In Process as of Sept 25. Awaiting for DM or PPR on monday. If not, the following week.
