Yup! What is the delay about Manila Ambassy sponsorship? They receive passport and residence fee of my wife december 18. They receive CSQ January 28. How long time they will take for send back passport and visa to my wife?

Oh! I see what you mean. Unfortunately, I chose option 1.
Let's hope that this does not set us back any more than we already are. :'(

We are already behind schedule by more than 2 months, because the invitation to proceed with MICC which was sent by CIC got lost in the mail, and it took them many weeks to send us a new copy.

The invitation was originally sent on October 31st, and we ended up receiving it on January 10th.
Well it shouldn't make it any longer. As soon as they get the CSQ and open it, they would sort the next stage, AIP.

Also I think you have a similar timeline so far to MDNA.

MDNA and you both have about a 4 month gap between the process starting and applying to the MICC for the CSQ. Looking how quickly MDNA got the AIP, it is only about 15 days after getting the CSQ. The AIP must have been ready, they were just waiting for the CSQ.

What I'm saying is the 4 month gap will have been when they sorted MDNA's AIP. I bet yours will have been sorted during the 4 months you were waiting.

Honestly when I spoke to the CIC, they had a look on the system at my file and said, you will receive your AIP and work permit soon. She asked if I had sent the police certificate, (only outstanding thing) I said yes when I sent the application, is it not on the system. She said no but it will be sorted, they would have requested it by now.

I think mine is ready waiting for someone to press a button to print and send it...

Well I am glad about giving people hope :)

On the form - Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking [IMM 1344]

Question 1

If you are found ineligible to sponsor, indicate whether you want to:

1. Withdraw your sponsorship application. All processing fees less $75 will be refunded.
2. Proceed with the application for permanent residence. Processing fees will be retained.

I chose option 2. Which did you choose?

I have read on the forum quite a lot that people believe (because of time taken), that the cic carry on processing your file for permanent resident, while you wait for the CSQ.

- As the CIC know you will be carrying on with the application, instead of putting it on hold, they carry on with doing the background check, police certificate, medical check and that helps to speed up the processing of your file.
Oh I choosed 2 also, that's means they carry on checking my files for the next step? That's good news. Thanks JG84, it's very useful and cheering info you put on here ;D

I will answer your question but this is a forum for Quebec Inland Sponsorships.

Yes you are on the last step. It should take about one month.

They will stamp the visa in the passport.

You should contact them:

That's good then :)
If I can think of anything else I'll post it.

I think I am a bit obessive though about having to know everything about a subject.
I'll research and research and ask questions. That is what I do when I phone the cic.

I even went back and read every page of this Quebec Inland forum :)
I don't think you can leave anything to chance, you need to be prepared lol.

Have you applied for the CSQ?

Did you know that if Quebec reject a CSQ application. That isn't the end of your application.
Although everyone who I've seen on here has passed so far.

Basically the MICC do not have the final say. The CIC can carry on processing and if they accept you, they can require the MICC to accept you.

It is good to read a lot, but you have to pay attention.
For instance, you can see the answer to your question on this page, right below. ;)

I was asking chrischengwy if they had applied for the CSQ.
Is that the question you mean?
Yes, it is the question I mean.

The bottom of chrischengwy's profile says "MICC & Undertake: Jan. 24, 2013.", so I believe the answer to your question is yes he applied for the CSQ.

To be honest I am quite surprised at how quickly everything is progressing, at the start I thought I was in for a long and difficult wait. After reading this forum I found so much more information that is applicable to me than I did on the CIC website. I now understand implied status and that after applying for the OWP I don't have to leave my wife and and can continue working with my expired IEC visa. I'm off to Quebec City Friday to do my meds pay my Right of Permanent Residence Fee and then its just a little more waiting.
