Congratulations! Best of luck for the job hunt. Just one word of advice, do not shy away from doing a course / diploma. Canadian credentials are valued a lot unless you have a high-demand IT specialization.

Congratulations! It is PPR indeed. The email I received had the same subject. The status will likely change to DECISION MADE once they have stamped the Visa on our passports.

You'll will need to let them know the address then. They're also requesting you for the photocopies of all passport pages (even if you're Visa exempt). Hopefully, they'll issue the COPR then. Search the forum, I'm sure I've read posts of others who were in a similar position as you.

PPR!!! After waiting 3 months for my 3rd line (MR received) and another 2 months...finally received PPR request yesterday at 10.30PM EST! Can't believe the guys were working so late in the night. Am super thrilled and would just like to tell everyone to hang in there! Just mailed my passport...

You don't need to fill the form IFF you are from a Visa exempt country. All you need is the COPR. For landing, just show up at the border or Airport and hand them your COPR. They will issue you a Record of Landing on the spot. Good luck!

With God's grace, I finally received PER today after a very long wait. For everyone who's still waiting, I wish you the best of luck! It's still a long way ahead for most of us here, but our spirits are high! God willing, whatever happens now, will be for the best :-) PS: I've already updated...

I have a large amount of supporting documentation, especially in the work-experience section. I'm even thinking about adding a cover letter for each job position that explains the proofs individually for each position.

This is a standard closed work permit, allowing you to only work for your current employer. You could apply for PR under CEC after 1 year. Alternatively, you can also take a look at various PNP programs on all provinces.

It took about 45 days for my spouse.

Thanks roop9! You're right, got the passport with both Visas stamped. I can relax now :) Point to note for others with the same dilemma, the approval email is sent only for Study/Work permit - not for the TRV. The only way to know if a TRV is approved is by checking the PP.

Thanks roop9! I'm quite tense right now, since there's no word on my spouse's TRV. Going to collect the passports tomorrow from VFS personally. I have my fingers crossed until then.
