Hi,

I just completed my landing in Canada on 11 Dec 2015. I am provincial nominee of PEI. The immigration process was very easy and smooth.I have started job hunting. Hoping all goes well

Congratulations on your successful landing.
I am hoping to be able to do mine within the next couple of months as well.

Wish you all the best.

Hopefully, you enjoy PEI and find a job soon.

Hi, just for my knowledge, can you tell me what are the exact documents immigration will check when we land as a PR in Canada, I am a Provincial Nominee too. On Which VISA documents we need to enter Canada as a PR?

They can request to look at some or all of the following:

1) Your passport
2) Your correspondence with CIC
3) Your correspondence and PNP with the Province you got PNP from
4) Your bank statements showing Proof of Funds
5) Your Police Certificates
6) Your Birth Certificate
7) Your medical records

Ensure you keep copies of all of the following just in case.

Congratulations! Best of luck for the job hunt. Just one word of advice, do not shy away from doing a course / diploma. Canadian credentials are valued a lot unless you have a high-demand IT specialization.

Hello Seniors,

If you were granted PPR with accompanying family members but upon going to Canada, I first go as the main member and plan that my family follows say in 2 months 'time, will that cause problems upon landing at the border in Canada? Are they strict that we should all come in a the same time or they are flexible enough as long as the Visas are still valid?

Please those who know, kindly help!

Thanks.

They have asked me for PR documents sent by them with visa and passport. May be they check for bank statement too in some cases. Also they ask how much money do you have with you. They did not ask me to show it

As far as I know, you can land first without any problems, and your family can come later, as long as their visas are still valid. The only thing is, you'll have to have the proof of funds covering your entire family when you land, even though you're landing alone.
