ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Just go to VFS. Sometimes, the high commission sends request in an envelope to VFS. That might be your case. And VFS may have tried to contact you earlier.

ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

You can also try being a little creative this time. Include a few available jobs for your profile in the cover letter stating that your profession is in demand here. This will solidify your case for returning back to India. It goes without saying though, that your intention should be to return...

If you are thinking of applying again, you should include as much proof that links you to India financially as possible. So you should provide any proof of bank savings, PPF, credit card statements and property documents in your name. You could also include a cover letter this time saying that...

ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

The current processing time is 2 months, so should expect to hear something in the next 30 days. If you don't hear anything by 4th May, you should write to the high commission then, requesting them your current status.

How to find a job offer in Canada?

The sites that are mentioned are pretty good. In fact, I got my job offer from an employer who had posted on one of these sites. Keep trying until you find a company that's a good fit for you. Usually, a company will go through the LMO process and the Work Permit wait only when it's in dire need...

TWP Application from US - Online vs Mail / In Person

From whatever little that I've seen on these forums, timelines vary significantly even for similar cases. The Canadian visa processing is very opaque and there's little you can do to expedite it. I would suggest you to go with an online application, since that's the officially recommended channel.

    LMO only for 100k+ jobs?

That's not true at all. However, your expected salary should be close to the average salary for that profession, or higher than the average. You can find out the average salaries of different professions here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-salary-wizard.html. LMO processing time should be...

ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

Don't worry, just do as they say. CIC is very particular about ruling out TB. That's why the DMPs try to preempt this concern with additional tests that can prove otherwise, before sending the final report to CIC. If you think about it, this is better than waiting for 1 month then getting a...

ND Work Permit Processing Time since February 2012?

I can tell you that I got called for an additional consultation and more tests. Basically, they'll take any opportunity where TB is a possibility and ask you to take additional tests until its ruled out. Only when that's done, will they create the final report for CIC.

    Work Permit -Implied status-PNP

I stand corrected. There's no implied status unless you apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit. Once you have that, you'll be eligible to work in any Canadian company for 1 year while you wait for a decision. Read: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2012-12-17.asp...

    Work Permit -Implied status-PNP

I think there is implied status for PNP applicants. I remember reading it somewhere. That was the main draw in favor of PNP over FSWP. Hopefully some forum senior will validate this soon.
