Hi everyone, I understand that it takes 4 to 6 weeks for us to receive the PR card. Is it okay to go back home without the PR card and my friend will just mail it to me once they receive it? Thank you for your input.

You should be back before your re entry visa expires. Some officer might ask for emp cert while others dont.
