hi everyone,

CIC has made a decision for my pr application since october and i just complied it this week since i just came back to toronto after staying in my home country for four months taking care of my sick mother. In case my pr goes through, i'm planning to go back home again after i get my pr card. my questions are:

1. what is the maximum days that i can stay out of canada without jeopardizing my pr status?
2. if i go back to canada to fulfill my RO, do i have to just be physically there even if i dont have a proper job and such days will be counted? or do i need to get a job pay taxes and everything...
3. is there such thing as self employed and i pay taxes voluntarily?
4. i'm under the live in caregiver program (i've been here for more than four years), i read from CIC or other threads that some days are counted already (prior to becoming a PR) for RO so i can apply for citizenship earlier than the usual requirement, is it true?

***im not really sure if im asking the right questions, my apologies for that..hoping someone could enlighten my confusion. thanks very much.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1. After getting your PR, you can stay outside Canada for maximum 1094 days in any rolling 5 year period.

2. Any day spent in Canada counts no matter what you were doing. However, in case immigration asks you to prove your days in Canada, it is a lot easier if you have been working.

3. Once you have PR, you can be self employed but you still have to pay taxes.

4. In order to apply for citizenship, you must have 1095 days within the past 4 years before applying. Days before getting PR count as half but must be within the past 4 years as well. For example, if you were in Canada for a full 2 years before getting PR and for another 2 years after, you would be eligible to apply for citizenship.
