Extending visitors visa while waiting on lmo

They might refuse if they feel that you are spending more time in Canada than your home country. They might assume that you would be overstaying. I am not sure if writing a letter would help (everyone would start writing a letter saying they will leave if their application is refused). I am...

Extending visitors visa while waiting on lmo

If you are from a visa-exempt country, then leaving Canada and re-entering would constitute a new visit. In that case you would have 6 months from the time you enter Canada.

applying visitor visa at port of entry?

You need to apply for TRV atleast 1 month prior to your intended departure if you are not from a visa-exempt country. You can do that at a Canadian Consulate office. The immigration officer (IO) at port-of-entry decides whether to let you in or not (even with a valid TRV).

    Help on vistor Visa

I do not think you need to show the airline tickets. If you can show strong ties to UK (job, contract with employer, pay slips, bank statements...), that should do. You can contact the Canada High Commission in London to find out the expenses you would need for the required number of days.

    Regarding Work Experience

Here is the link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/permanent-residence-refused-t20626.0.html It is not mentioned whether two periods were continuous or not in the above case. I am assuming if it is continuous then it should be fine.

Discovered Canada via a montreal bachelor party

Montreal does not seem as expensive as Vancouver or Toronto. Night life is pretty good. The public transit also seems to be good. As for the job opportunities it depends on your field and ofcourse you wont know unless you experience it first hand. Knowing French would help a lot. All in all a...

complicated question---changing from student permit to work permit

I asked the question because if your employer needs to get LMO/HRSDC confirmation then he would have to mention the minimum requirements for the job. If you do not have the minimum requirements then there are chances that your LMO might be rejected as there might be other Canadians/PR who have...

complicated question---changing from student permit to work permit

I suppose you can apply for the work permit (with LMO) since your study permit is valid. I am not sure if not going to the college for 1.5 yrs is considered a violation of study permit or not (perhaps not as long as you were not studying or working elsewhere). Let seniors respond to this. Do...
