Since your current WP is expiring in Sep, if you apply now, it will not be approved, you will have to apply only within the last 4 months. DONT APPLY NOW.

I hope you do know that BOWP is for those who have applied for PR and got their AOR. It is better to apply within the last 4 months of your WP expiry, if it is expiring 30th Sept, apply after June 1st. The processing time depends on the time of you application, I usually prefer online...

What about your spouse? for me, my spouse security clearance took about 2 months since I paid RPRF which was the reason for delay, just stay positive and hold on, you should get your PPR soon. Good luck...

Personally I feel contacting the MP office is NOT going to speed up your process (based on my experience), I would rather suggest you to hang tight and apply for GCMS notes to know what is going on.

Unfortunately it is unpredictable, I received the stamped passports back within 1 week in India while it took 2 weeks for me in Canada. Good luck.

If it is 3 months for sure and you cannot cut short the trip, update CIC with your new address immediately after reaching there, that way, if you get PPR within the first month of your stay, you could get the stamping done at your local embassy there, if you dont receive PPR in the first two...

Yes you can do landing, at the US border just say you are "flag poling" that should do good.

You can send it through Fedex but the return envelope MUST BE Canada Post, if you attach a Fedex envelope, CIC will not use it and would rather send it through regular Canada Post which will have delays in delivery. It is RECOMMENDED to attach a Pre Paid Canada Post envelope for return shipping.

No worries, photos are not asked for everyone and the COPR is folded and kept along with your passport, hence, dont worry about the size of the envelope. You should be good.

My suggestion is you write a covering letter for the new passports and send both the passports to CIC, you might be fine.

If your marriage certificate says its 29th Nov, then you should write 29th Nov. Whatever the certificate states.

Yes, I did check my mail and its negative, the postman called their office and it looks like the package is still sitting in Ottawa with a description "Manual Sort" and they dont know what that means..... Man, this is frustrating to the core..... :(

For me, it just says "Item Processed" since March 28 17:54, hasnt changed to "In transit" for the last 5 days..... looks like time to get panic..... ??? ??? ???
