PPR request when moved to US from Canada

i recently traveled to US on business trip with my family and waiting for passport request from CIC, as this is temporary my current address is still canada address. When they ask for passport, can passport be sent to Ottawa or do we need to send somewhere in US. Also does passport will be sent back to US?

You can put your temporary US address on the return envelope and send it to Ottawa with your passports. I believe they can stamp and return passports to Canada and US. That way you can complete the landing process when you come back to Canada. Just make sure you stay in the US address long enough to receive your passports back

as PPR message says If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

it also says If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Thanks for the valuable information. I also want to know can we sent passports to Ottawa via Fedex and can we receive the passports by Fedex return envelope as that is more convenient to track.

You can send it through Fedex but the return envelope MUST BE Canada Post, if you attach a Fedex envelope, CIC will not use it and would rather send it through regular Canada Post which will have delays in delivery.

It is RECOMMENDED to attach a Pre Paid Canada Post envelope for return shipping.

Thanks. Should i ask for Prepaid Canada post envelope from someone who live in Canada who can get it from Canada post and ship it to me in US?

or the shipping label is good pasted in any brown envelope.
