    OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

Hi everyone, My husband and I thought that it might be a good idea to connect with other Aussie ex-pats (and partners) (Kiwis welcome too!!) all going through the same process. I wanted to be a little less anonymous! I have created a facebook group if anyone is keen to join...

    Family class sponsorship

No problem, I think we all grasp at straws a bit in order to try and find some way to stay with our partners.... At least we are from a country that is processed relatively quickly!

    Family class sponsorship

If you are submitting an Outland application (regardless of where you are residing) then this option is not available to you. If you are submitting an inland application you are able to apply for OWP. It appears from the information that you have provided that you are applying outland as you...

    OCTOBER 2014 OUTLAND APPLICATIONS!

Please don't ask the same question on multiple boards. Sometimes the people (volunteers!) on these boards may take some time to respond but you will get a response.

    What's your story?

I read it a couple of times too before I understood!! Great idea for a thread. I love hearing people's stories and what prompts us all to go through this process.

Working while waiting for permanent residency visa

Not with an outland sponsorship. The benefit of outland sponsorship is that it is a much quicker processing time (in general) than inland, but you do not have the ability to work legally.

Question about CIC changing outland applications to inland

Are you referring to those whose applications are being retained and processed at Mississauga and Ottowa? If so, they are still being processed as Outland applications, they are just being retained and processed. It is making their processing time much faster. There was also a number if people...

OUTLAND or INLAND? Aussie & Canadian couple of 7 years w/ questions!

There's so many factors to consider, it can make you crazy!! Your GF definitely wouldn't be able to work during Outland process if IEC runs out. The inland option is very restrictive in that, should she need to leave Canada for any reason and for whatever reason she is denied entry, then the...

OUTLAND or INLAND? Aussie & Canadian couple of 7 years w/ questions!

Another situation that we have seen recently with some visa exempt countries is that they are being retained at Mississauga instead of being forwarded to the home visa office. This has seen a significantly decreased processing time (in one case 45 days, start to finish). There is no guarantee...

    Hepatitis B

Spousal sponsorship applicants are not exempt from the "danger to public health" clause but Hep B is highly unlikely to be categorised as such. Therefore the OP should not have any difficulties with their application.

    Hepatitis B

This is not accurate in the case of the Family class sponsorship (In this case, spouse). The excessive burden clause is not applicable. Taken directly from CIC: Some groups of permanent resident applicants are exempt from the excessive demands assessment: •family class sponsored spouses...

ALL SPOUSE APPEAL CASES COME HERE AND JOIN US PLZ

This has been explained to you on another thread, but you are still within the quoted processing times and therefore an MP would be of very little use to you at this point. This thread is for the people who are appealing negative decisions by CIC, some of whom have been waiting for years to be...
