dear 60 days mentioned in my letter too and i've heard that it is 30 days to appeal, so, i called my visa post & asked then they said that was a mistake and we have to appeal within 30 days when after the sponsor get the refusal letter... but i dont know whether the rules are changed now... check it & so, do it as soon as possible & it saves your waiting time.
good luck

Our lawyer said it's 60 days, so I'll take their word for it. I doubt such a strong firm wouldn't know the proper processing times. But please don't take my word for it, call CIC and ask.
Then again, CIC is a horrific mess, with 'children' working there instead of experienced grown-ups. Getting someone on the phone that knows what's going on is like winning the lotto.

:'(I filed appeal in Vancouver with an immigration lawyer (from Calgary, AB) October 5th./ 2013 after my husband was refused at interview in Visa Office Accra in September 2013!! Had an unsuccessful ADR in August 2014. Unsuccessful only because this Lady Minister's consul had made up her mind already before she ever got there without even looking at all our evidence. As lawyer told me this LADY (herself immigrated to Canada through marriage to a Canadian years ago ) NEVER consented to ANY ADR . I was just unlucky to get HER as Minister's counsel at this ADR.
I think I don't have to mention how I feel as all here in this forum have own bad experiences already with it.
Got still that day at ADR in August told that we could have a date for the full hearing in November/December 2014 eventually as lawyer said he would need only half day....the latest for us for full hearing would be March 2015. But NOTHING happened ! We didn't hear anything about a date yet. Mid of December lawyer sent another request to hear a date . Finally mid of January IAD Vancouver sent a letter that they won't be able to hear our appeal before FALL 2015 !!! yet still no Date mentioned either . This makes 2 years waiting time for Full Hearing appealed through Vancouver . These Immigration people don't give a damn about our feelings and suffering .Can't see any shorter waiting time for Vancouver than Toronto. :'( :'( :'(

Anyone know if it goes to full hearing after ADR August 2014 do you have to wait longer then someone already waiting for full hearing...Do they give an unsuccessful ADR priority scheduling versus one waiting for full hearing from the start.

Hi
I think we are in the same situation I had an ADR last year in June but was not OK on my side they told me they have ant to talk to my wife until now no news and again I would like to ask you questions if you don't mind
After unsuccessful your ADR did they let you signed any documents? Or did they send you you confirmation letter for unsuccessful ADR?
Your response be appreciated

Hi,

If you are talking about my crazy case, I didn't have an ADR. I had a full hearing in June last year that I won. I appealed in 2011 and got at date for the hearing in 2014. A year after I appealed, they randomly sent a letter stating my case wasn't eligible for ADR and I'd have to wait for full hearing. We all have our insane CIC stories! Here is one: I contacted the MP whose office tells me "we are both aware (them and visa office) that you won the appeal in October". I feel hopeless sometimes. These people are completely confused or utterly un-informed.

This has been explained to you on another thread, but you are still within the quoted processing times and therefore an MP would be of very little use to you at this point.
This thread is for the people who are appealing negative decisions by CIC, some of whom have been waiting for years to be reunited with their spouses.

only sponsor can appeal so it is your husband who has to fill the appeal form

Hi milenka,
thanks again. do they sent email or regular postal mail to sponsor to reject any case? I am asking this because my sponsor moved to a new place recently. I informed the Singapore visa office but not sure if they updated the address. Regards.

hi dear my process with appealing already done and i'm waiting for my visa now. i gave you some hints to save your time and make you know the time period for appealing so, if you have doubt about it, its better to contact the IAD office and they give you the correct info rather than any one ... according to many cases here i've seen some lawyers have messed up with the whole process good luck

Thank you rathika2011
