Nobody can say for certain, just be honest but show strong ties to your country.....employment, house, family and you intend on leaving after a set period of time, a return ticket will help with this. Also be cautious of the language you use I.e. Visiting as opposed to living/staying.

Not just any lawyer in Thailand, it must be a notarial services lawyer (they have to have taken a specific course and it's wise to sight their certificate)...this is the equivalent to a notary public. Perhaps look for this in his region?
