Koumail, I sent it via Poste Canada. On Syrian Post website, i can see that they give my letter to a delivery agent but say nothing about the reception by the Embassy. Plus, I asked for a signature on receipt...

Htraboul is right. I checked for a courrier company like Purolator or Fed Ex and it costs minimum 100$ to send a simple letter to Middle East. ???

I called Canada Post and they told me that they cant do anything about it. They can start an investigation only after 1 month.

Dear Ramz, Im sorry about your loss and that you are having a hard time :( I didnt mean that you are lying, I mean you can still have a visitor visa even if you dont have 5000$ in your bank account. I guess each case and each embassy is different about giving visitor visa or not. Courage!

It's not true that you need money in your bank account. Your wife just has to send an invitation letter saying that she will support you the time you will be here for a visit. Yes, the embassy will probably tell you to come back cause your PR is ready and so what? Better to wait with your wife...
