Hello all, Do you know when is the best time to call CIC? Anytime I call, they say: all the lines are busy please try again later. It's very frustrating. >:(

My husband is here with me in Canada now. However, our application is in process in Damascus. The point is, I dont want him to go back to Middle East :-[ So even if the process started in Damascus, im wondering if the visa (perm. residency) can be issued from here.

Hello Yaya Marei, I stayed twice at Ghazal hotel in Damascus (www.ghazalhotel.com). It's cheap, really nice and the owners are 3 brothers. It cost me 750 syrian pounds for a bed, I guess its a little more for a private room. It is located in Souq Sarouja close to the old city.

Nagz, I read the letter also and i had the same question : i dont understand why they say that the family sponsorship is already processed from montreal....mmmm... i think i will call Immigration Quebec on Monday.

I use Local phone (check their website) to call abroad and its cheap and they offer a good service.
