Background check started Oct 18th, still pending. Eligibility review hasn't started yet. I would probably have to wait another week or two before expecting an update.

The average processing time for SDS is 20 calendar days after submitting your biometrics. I applied on Oct 16th, biometrics updated and medical exam passed on Oct 18th.

Did you apply under SDS? Also does it show your background check as completed? If you applied under SDS, I think you should probably receive the correspondence letter in less than 2 weeks, hopefully by the end of this week.

They probably have already started with your background check, I think they only need the biometrics to do so. You'll have to wait. I also applied last Wednesday. I didn't get any message either but I can see they started my background check on Friday, the same day I had my biometrics taken.
