    June 2014 - CEC applications

I have no doubt I will get PR. Eventually. My application is rock-solid. It doesn't change the fact that this delay puts my life on hold and the whole process is very frustrating because it's so random and there is no transparency on CIC side.

Three questions regarding BOWP: Application question and Implied Status

    1. No 2. Implied status extends your current work permit - if it's closed the same restrictions apply during implied status 3. Apply as late as possible: - you might get PR before you need a new BOWP - your eligibility might be set to passed before you need a new BOWP - if all else fails...

    When they will start Processing??

I don't want to sound like a total dick here, but this is possibly good news for everyone with exception of people in your situation (with a currently pending EE application). This might be an indication they really want to wrap up old applications, which take significantly more time to process...

BOWP Eligibility and process for Spouse

If you have a BOWP that expires in more than 6 months you can get SOWP (same as BOWP, except for a spouse of applicant - ) at the border when he/she arrives - it is valid for as long as your BOWP and not only allows the spouse to enter Canada, but also work in Canada. More info here...

    BOWP - September 2015 Applicants

Wait, what? I've applied online on August 27th - exactly 1 week before September 3rd they are processing now and I've had my BOWP & SOWP for close to 2 months. What have they been doing for all that time?

BOWP Eligibility and process for Spouse

If you have a BOWP valid for over 6 months why don't you get a SOWP for your spouse (you can get on entry!) ? But to answer your original question about visitor visa: CIC may (but most likely won't) ask for such proof. Return plane ticket is enough.

Work done after completion of studies and before PGWP

This is a tricky edge case, but the consensus seems to be that time after you have formally graduated counts.

    BOWP Rules Changed !!!!

I did read carefully and I understood it exactly the same way you did. Luckily for the CEC applicants approved BOWPs keep coming. Granted, those are still for people who applied before December 2nd, but CIC has enforced changed rules for applications already in progress before (I can't...

BOWP Eligibility and process for Spouse

There is no such requirement as far as I know. It's also possible (or at least it was last year) to get the SOWP at the border when your spouse arrives in Canada (a little bit more risky), but only after you got your new BOWP.
