Hi Smxman,

I was also out of status as my extension for BOWP was refused. But , I have travelled back to my country.
I have few questions, can you please answer them? :

Did you continue to stay without status and once you gt your PR , you have landed bck ?
I have not yet updated my residential/mailing address , do you think I have to?
If I request for change of address, will that delay my application as the address change is for a different country?
Hi,
May I know the reason for BOWP refusal? I have applied for extention of my BOWP? still it is under process.

more than 18 months now.. is it still possible for the pr to get rejected, i had medicals in Feb, the cic guy said my file was last checked in novembr...

its getting depressing

I have exact same timeline as you ... Hopefully we will hear something soon :/

Hello ppl. I successfully did my landing at peace bridge near Niagra falls yesterday. Took me ten mins in total. Went there around seven pm on sat and it was empty. I wish good luck to everyone who is still waiting for the PPR and congrats to others who got it. I ll also advise that don't get dishearten by the approximation time give by agents as it''s not true. I was asked to wait till march end. Also I ll advise to pay RPRF upfront as it saves you like two weeks. This forum gave me a lot of info and I thank wonderful ppl for sharing it.

That should not be a problem, just At the time of landing, you should ask the CIC person to correct the dates by showing proofs of landing ( entry stamps on passports).

Thanks for your suggestion. They said that dates on COPR doesn't hold any importance.

Guys,

just a quick question - can I park my car somewhere near to the peace bridge ? Is there any designated parking lot close to the peace bridge ?

I will be heading for landing this week and my spouse doesn't have US visa ! So what do I tell to US border agency upon arrival and what all documents will be required ?

Pls help.

I got the same update today, any update is good update?

Hi,

Just wanted to check if anyone is on the same boat as I am. My application was very straight forward. Neither it went to second review nor I received any additional documents requests. I got medical request in Feb 2014 and completed the same on same month. After that, I receive RPRF request in Dec 4th 2015 (Almost 10 months later) which I have already paid upfront in April 2014. No update from then. Its really dam frustrating.

I know its a dumb question, but any Idea, when I can expect to receive PPR request. Based on my current status, there is no way I am going to competed the landing before my medicals expires. Are they going to request for re-medical if we cross the medical completing date. Rule says medical are valid for one year but I haven't heard anyone being requested for re-medicals.

Please advise.

No one can answer you questions with any degree of certainty it all appears to be random, all I can say is hang in there your turn will come.

Just talk with Cic call center, they mentioned that my file is now transferred for final review and its in last stage, can anyone confirm what does this mean and if anyone else went through same process, I am quite worried for another review.

Dont worry. They wont ask for medical again if you are in canada. I did my medical exam in Jan 2015, but when I got my passport with visa, it had expiry date till Oct 2016. That means they have increased medical validity for 10 months.
