Hello Friends,

I have successfully done the In-land landing at Etobicoke office of CIC on 21-Dec-2015.
so My PR journey has come to a happy ending finally and now I am a Official Canadian PR after almost 1.5 years.

Just some quick info about my landing, It lasted about 30 mins.
The Lady at the counter was very soft spoken. She manually corrected my original entry date in Canada( that was wrong actually) & then filled Landed date in COPR. After my signature ,She handed over one copy of COPR to me and advised me to keep it safe for future use like PR extension or Citizenship application.

so I would like to thanks all the people at this Forum, This is really a great platform to share & gain knowledge about Canadian Immigration.

Just received my COPR . original and last Entry dates are messed up for both me and my wife.

That should not be a problem, just At the time of landing, you should ask the CIC person to correct the dates by showing proofs of landing ( entry stamps on passports).

Could you please advice on how did you booked the inland landing appointment ?

How long was the wait to get the appointment date ? Also what all documents did she asked ?

Just got off the phone with CIC (it's 18 months today for me):

- there was an unspecified activity on my application about 2 months ago, so no escalation is necessary (you can get it past 18 months if there was no activity on your application in many months)
- call again around end of April if I get no update until then

simple application, no 2nd review, 10 months since medical... year, all according to schedule.

I am also in the same boat even though no adverse information and no second review , but will waiting for the PPR since one year. Not sure what can be done all the time i have been hearing from CIC is back ground check is incomplete.

what was the deadline on your GCMS/privacy act notes? did you pass it? or your application got approved before it?
and what about the file group? where was it sitting?

Yes, thank you. Very useful question. If you don't mind. I may ask one more. In what room that your application ended up when it had been finalized. As my knowledge, there are 3 rooms: CEC OFF REV, CEC CA REV, A900. Wonder which room gives the final decision.

you will get steps to land in a letter along with you COPR

also you will get list of original docs required for Landing in your appointment confirmation email


steps for inland landing----
very easy steps, just call the call centre & ask for inland landing interview appointment. then the call centre agent will ask some confirmation. please include your family also in appointment , if you have.
after that in 8 to 10 days you will get a mail with details of date & time of Landing.
date of appointment should be in next 3 to 4 weeks from the date of your call to CIC.
I think I called CIC on 01-dec , got mail on 8 Dec for appointment of Landing on 21-dec

Don't believe those dates on your GCMS note. In my case, i saw a Deadline date on my first GCMS note nut nothing happened by that date. Then i applied for another GCMS and found no deadline date. It was removed by CIC.
I don't know about the file group. I don't know where can i find that.

I have seen 'Decision Made' status on ECAS on Dec5th. However, haven't seen any PPR mail till date. Any clue? anyone in similar situation?

My COPR came in the mail this morning . I rang CIC as I want to do an inland landing. I'm in Calgary and she said that it takes 3 weeks for the local office to email me to confirm an appointment. Merry Christmas and I hope everyone who is waiting hears back very soon.

Any second review applicants got any update yet?

Not sure but im from second review and still waiting for PPR
