Hopefully not! At this point the probability of a FP request is pretty low. :)

Yeah you are right too! You never know if or when they will request fingerprints... Some people even get FP requests near the end of the process. As I said, there are always exceptions LOL

It is a little weird that you paper file is still in transit... But I guess this shouldn't prevent your local office from starting working on your file as I heard the Sydney Office scans every application now. In my GCMS notes under "Assessments", I can only see that I passed "Criminality", all...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yeah I would say yes... These are all done by your local office. Sydney Office is not likely to be involved in such detail. Edit: Oh I could be wrong... I looked through my GCMS notes again and found the Sydney Office actually completed my criminal check before forwarding my physical file to my...

Their "due date" is not binding, it's completely up to them whether to process a case or not... But that being said I do found most cases can be finalised around the "due date", some are a month behind the due date but not too far behind. :) I don't expect they can finish ahead of the "due...

In my case, they generated my GCMS report the same day as I requested, but sent me a month later... LOL

    January 2020 - citizenship application

What a coincidence! :D I would say at this stage they are not likely to request fingerprints... Typically they request fingerprints within a month after the application status changes to "in process", but there are always exceptions... I am not sure about the issue regarding physical presence...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Apparently they are all online applicants. It makes sense that online applications move faster, but it doesn't make sense that they are moving so fast that jumping ahead of a whole year's applicants... Normally they need to complete all background checks before sending test invites, so it is a...

Yes... I guess they randomly picked some online applicants to test out how fast a purely-online process can move... Just my thoughts...

Yes I agree with you. Before COVID typically it takes 2 months from Delivered to AOR, 1-2 months from AOR to IP, and 4 months from IP to Test Invite... so this speed is impossible even during normal times.

I got a similar response from the call centre agent too... But we can order GCMS notes for free through ATIP anyways, I just ordered mine and it could take about a month to receive it.

Just checked that FB group. I saw somebody asked him whether it was an urgent processing case, he said no, just normal processing.

This is definitely not right... You've already suffered so much, so to avoid further delay, I would send in another application, and attach a letter saying the initial application was sent in January and is highly likely lost by them. I would also attach proof showing you sent the initial...
