Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

Thanks! Yes, I would say 2 months between the test and oath are very normal. For your case I would absolutely check with them :)

Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

Nowadays everyone is feeling their office is the slowest, and this makes sense... All offices are incredibly slow now, comparing to pre-COVID. I know few people in Halifax who applied for citizenship pre-COVID, the average processing time was 8-9 months from start to finish (because of the...

Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

I am from Halifax! I completed the test on 19 Mar 2021. They confirmed that I passed the test a week later, but two important assessments - residence and language, are "not started".

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yes, this is very normal. Just call them a week after the test to confirm it has been validated, or at least received. :)

I know... Their two and half minutes recording is annoying and provides no information... After entering your UCI, press 1-1-4-1-1. :)

I hope so! :) If I don't hear anything from them in a month that could mean they are actually "not started" LOL

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Looks like we are very similar! Did they tell you your language and residence are "in process" or "not started"? They told me these two assessments are "not started" and that made me believe it could be another long wait...

That's 888-242-2100. Because I am in NS, I always call early in the morning between 08:00 and 09:00 AST, wait time is almost zero LOL. This is because at that time only Atlantic provinces can call in (their call centre opens at 08:00 your local time). The later in the day you call, the longer...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yes... Some agents are nice enough to put you on a brief hold (maybe they need an escalation) and check the detailed status for you, sadly others are not nice enough... I did order GCMS notes in the past, but later I found calling them is easier as you can get real-time status rather than...

No I haven't. They told me my criminality has passed so I guess there won't be one.

    January 2020 - citizenship application

I called them on Thursday and they confirmed that my test result has been validated. However, the bad news is that my residence and language assessments are still "not started"... They used to complete all checks before sending out test invites but now it seems that's no longer the case. I guess...

Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

I guess yes... This could probably explain why some people waited so long from test to decision made...

Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

I am a Jan 2020 applicant, took the test last Friday. I called them yesterday and they confirmed that my test result has been validated. However, the bad news is that my residence and language assessments are still "not started"... That's weird, they used to complete all checks before sending...

I have a similar timing! :) Next they may or may not schedule an interview. If not then we should see a "decision made" in ECAS in about a month (according to the tracker data).

I am not sure... better to use Canadian ID. They accept PR card even if it's expired and/or it has no signature on it. :)

UPDATE: Test completed on 19 MAR 2021. Note: Passed at 19/20. My test wasn't hard and I didn't study a lot. :) Actually the hardest part was taking a photo of my ID! It was so hard to make it straight and clear LOL Now waiting for their validation...

Oh this is the email address for our Halifax office only. (If you've noticed "HAL" in the email address... that means "Halifax".) For people from other regions, this part of the email address will be different. :)
