    January 2020 - citizenship application

That's a possible reason... But no matter the root cause, the fact is they treat the remainder of January applicants unfairly. They can easily correct this by assigning those applications to another officer. :)

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yeah I can accept a week or two difference in timing, but now they are moving into the second half of February - something does not smell right and apparently they are not aware of this issue... If everyone of us send a feedback, hopefully this can serve as a reminder to them...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

We all need to send feedbacks to IRCC through their web form (choose "give feedback", then "comment" or "complaint" option), reminding them that they've forgotten a large portion of January applicants...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

I think we should not worry too much about this as I saw in a few occasions that some applications got returned even during those months when they were not issuing any AOR. I guess there might be some people there receiving mails, and taking a quick look through, but they were not entering any...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Well my application is "single" too, still nothing... I guess maybe because I sent it to their courier address instead of the PO Box, but it shouldn't matter...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yeah this is one of my fears too... I certainly don't want to see my application being returned after half a year, and spend probably another half a year for them to open my envelope again...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Yep I mailed it though Canada Post Xpresspost so it has a returned signature, signed by "TA" which is normal.

    January 2020 - citizenship application

I am in the same boat. Just like I calculated, there is probably more than 25% of January's applicants haven't received their AORs yet and IRCC just ignores us and moves on to February... :( I checked ECAS and obviously I am not in their system. I called them and they just told me they are still...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

See... I guess these call centre people don't have an idea what's going on at CPC Sydney... They just read the script LOL

    January 2020 - citizenship application

I am in a similar situation. The January tracker shows only 65% of us received AOR. Excluding some of us might forget to update the tracker (usually less than 10%), it means there are over 25% of the January applicants haven't received their AOR yet.

It's 1-888-242-2100. After listening to their looooong recording (there is no way to skip), go with Option 1-1-4-1. Better to call early in the morning, they will pick up your call right away. Btw they will tell you they are still processing applications received before Jan. 14. LOL

    January 2020 - citizenship application

Nope. Neither did the call centre agent. He even performed an “extensive search” in the system but still cannot see my application, which makes sense tho... These are all paper applications, it simply means they haven’t been entered yet. I hope mine don’t end up being lost or misplaced after...

    January 2020 - citizenship application

I cannot understand either. Just called IRCC and the agent said CPC Sydney is still processing applications received before 14 January. This is obviously wrong as some February applicants have already got their AORs and we are still waiting.

I can feel your pain... As everything is slowly going back to normal, let's hope they will speed up their processing too. This PDF comes from (not very reliable) Rebel News. You can find the original news article here...

FYI... Memo from IRCC Regarding Citizenship Grant Inventory, Online Tests and Ceremonies

Not good for sure, personally I applied at the end of January and I am still waiting for AOR... I am just one of the 210,930 people awaiting, or maybe I am not even in their inventory list LOL

Not sure if you guys saw this before... Rebel News was able to obtain a memo from IRCC under the Access to Information Act which contains valuable insights regarding the citizenship grant inventory (as of May 2020), their plans for online tests and ceremonies. Link to the PDF...
