You only need to link your account if you are paper based. EE applicants get their PR in 6 months or less...and they send upfront Medicals and all docs with their application. Unfortunately paper based are not as lucky!

You should receive a 2nd AOR (File Transfer) notification when this takes place. There you would see which VO will begin processing your application. The 1st AOR does not show that.

It's stands for Acknowledgment of Receipt. It's the first correspondence from CIC that they have received your PR application.

This is the same for everyone! Once there are no messages identified, you can ignore!!

Usually after receiving the AOR you are able to link. Just try putting in the UCI/Application no they provided in the stop down and you should get through. Otherwise wait a day or two and it should be accessible.

Your situation is quite perplex in the sense that I have ever heard of a country having a local and an international passport. By its mere definition a passport is issued by countries to be used in foreign countries. So to have a local passort is unclear. But to answer your quest CIC would need...

I believe it would depend on where you currently reside. If you are in Canada currently with a visa that allows you to stay there legally...they may seem you as inland. If however you are out of Canada...then you would be deemed as outland applicant.

It depends on if you paid the processing fee online or if you provided your card details with your application. For those of us who provided credit card details with our applicants...it appears that they deduct the funds soon after issuing AOR. If you did the payment online/ it would process...

Thxs...the funds were taken out on Friday!! And my application was rec'd April 25th.

Hopefully there are no more April applicants waiting for AOR....but good that CIC has reached May receipts.

As of now the latest application date is April 26th...not sure if any other applicants in April have been receiving theirs. Any others who knows better please mention!

Apart from your passport, is there no other form of documentation you use to identify yourself in your home country? This is what they are asking for?
