Congrats on your PER! Somehow I haven't noticed your profile info. I'm certain that the background check and medicals will go smoothly. You are half way through! I must still wait at least one month for being charged.

Thank you, I hope you will receive yours too. I hope it will turn out fine for both of us. You have a valid point here. At first I thought that our collegue had the one year full-time experience as required by CIC. What he wrote is: "CIC did not accept 1 year of my 10 years of translation...

I think our collegue should reapply and if this doesn't work, bring the case to the Canadian court, as the immigration decision was unfair, at least it seems unfair to me. The requirements are that a successful applicant should have at least one year of full time experience in an eligible NOC...

Now I am worried too. For the last two years I've been working as an "internal" translator at a translation office for a specified amount of time in a week, but I do not have an employment contract that requires me to come to the office and work there for a specified amount of time and I don't...

Yes they should, you're right. Don't take personally what I just wrote. I just wanted to confirm that non-liquid assets may in fact be regarded as POF, as I'd heard it straight from the horses mouth.

Actually, the Embassy in my country used to hold information sessions for potential FSW applicants and during one of those sessions they said that a POF may be anything of value, even a house or an appartment and other non-liquid assets too.

That's right, It sems that they are now working on the most popular NOCs. People from August are being charged now. Our NOCs are low priority ones, so we must still wait. Do not lose your grip! We will all get happy news in the end!

Can anyone tell me what these numbers really mean: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp Is this the numer of applications received and just quickly browsed through for completeness (which would explain why this is only an estimated numer) while the real numer...

I think you should mention it. Data in individual forms must match. You should not leave an unaccounted period in your personal history.

Thanks for your answer. Now I've checked and some of my forms are definitely from 2014, but the Family Info form is from September 2013 and Schedule A is from 2012 ( :o, although they were downloaded and filled out this year) CIC updated them several times this year, including in August and...

I am slightly affraid that my forms are not up to date (or it may be just my FSW-related paranoia), can I send them addendum with up to date forms or will this sink my application?

Well, I must confess that I have no idea, I know that there is such possibility because I've read about similar cases. This is about temporary resident decisions, but I am sure it applies to permament residents too: "You can also ask for a judicial review through the Federal Court of Canada, if...

He could appeal against the decision through an immigration lawyer. I think in case of a wrong or an unfair decision of a CIC official there is a chance of winning the appeal in the immigration court.

I want to call CIC from outside Canada. I found this numer but it does not seem right: 1-613-944-4000. Does anyone knows the right numer to contact CIC?

I wouldn't say that completeness check has been finished for October applicants. Now I am reading that September applicants from another NOC are being charged. If I remember correctly, an August applicant was charged this morning. It seems now to me that CIC do not follow any charging pattern...

Thank you Alexes! I did not know that banks store records of attempted or failed transactions. I just called my bank and apparently, within the last 2 months, there was no attempt to charge my debit card whether successful or failed one. However they might have returned my file without even...

Since I don't know what is happening with my application,I have written to CIC to get to know whether it was returned or just awaits completeness check, but I don't expect them to reply in the nearest future, so I've decided to ask an immigration lawyer. Is there anyone who used an immigration...
