Does anyone know if contacting CIC after the 6 months have passed put the application in a 'priority' list?

"soon" :D (well... since there is no pattern for CIC releasing PPRs, it may really be soon)

I really hope it shows the GCMS assessment status (eligibility, criminality and security), which is why people call CIC... otherwise it will be kind of useless

Not sure, but I would say it is SS indeed. When I called CIC the agent told me my case would finish by Jan 15, which is 6 months after the AOR. The fact that the agent did not specified a date to you is a warning sign... That is my fear as well. You can request GCMS or CBSA to know more about...

No no, I was asking about the eligibility status progress. My status on Oct 25 was recently moved to 'met', with criminality already passed and security not started. So I think 'met' comes first, then 'recommended pass', and finally 'passed'...

It happens a lot, but not always.

Isn't it the other way around? First the 'met', then the 'Recommend Pass' and/or 'Passed'?

They forgot the people from Monday 2, 15 and 16... :D

I could accept that PPR-landing explanation perfectly, but for me it does not make much sense as I follow other applications with almost the same details as mine, except their AOR are more recent, and yet some of them had received PPRs already. If it is really due to higher PPR-landing...

Their target seems to be 80% of applications processed in 6 months.

You mean "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements"? Mine is like that since AOR. And will be like that until the CoPR, it seems. The best way to know if you really are under 'review required', and the possible reasons, is the GCMS notes.

Check these links where I explained it with more details... But basically I only knew about the review required when I received the GCMS notes. It was 'review required', and passed to 'met'. Apparently 'recommended pass / passed' is the next step after 'met'...

I had been in review required, but 6 days later my eligibility moved to 'met'.

I am 'pretty sure' I am in IP2, since my GCMS shows 'eligibility met', and my CIC portal shows 'BG in progress'. I have no problems in waiting, I just want to have an idea of how long, for planning purposes. If my BG is going 'normal', I should receive the PPR in about a month or less, and I...

Can a CIC agent disclose if the application is under security screening? From what I understand, they have access to the same information as GCMS. I am under IP2 for about a month, but did not reach the 5 months mark yet, so I think I am still 'in time'. Just worried about the SS.

Personally, I would like to move to a smaller city, but one that is not too far away from a bigger one. But I will settle anywhere that offers me a good job. If I have to move before I find a job, I think Alberta would be my shot. I just want to 'avoid' Toronto and Vancouver though.

I have absolutely no canadian experience. But to be honest, I do not care if I have to start over my professional career in a entry-level position. I am dealing with this migration as a 'restart' in my life, almost from scratch. All I will have there are my wife, my own life experiences, and a...
