PR card expiring is student visa required

However, it's common practice in universities to require the student to produce a valid PR Card once to twice a year (depending on the university) to confirm that they're entitled to continue paying domestic fees. Some institutions may accept the CoPR, but it isn't guaranteed.

    Why no staples ?

Back when I applied, the explanation given was that the request was based on security reasons, because their alarm would sound off when scanning the package. Which doesn't make sense, one can still use other metals that would cause the same outcome, e.g. a paper clip. I think zardoz's...

Which places to notify about the change of status after being a Canadian Citizen

The only place I see the need to update the information with would be college/university (for those institutions that require producing a valid PR Card - whether once a year, or at the beginning of every semester - to continue paying domestic tuition fees), which doesn't seem to be your case.

Tracking June 2015 Citizenship Application - Please Share your Timeline

Ojeola's information applies only to those who applied on June 11 or afterwards. Whomever applied under the old rules are bound to the rules in place back then, when the test was required to people in the 18-54 age bracket.

Has your savta sanctioned this, though? But receiving my oath invitation soon would be great, yes.

No, my case is not delayed, it actually ahead that of many others from Vancouver, including friends of mine who either sent their application before me, or the same day as me (e.g. Albert in the tracker), and haven't even had the test yet. As I wrote many times in this thread even, the wait for...

No offence Ari, but until it's your savta who has the vision, I remain skeptic. She's the one with the powerful mind, correct?

I was thinking about that as well. There were 22, then 20, now 17. I'm confused.

I just added your test date and also DM. Both were missing, which is why you were still in process there.

    Vancouver - Test Aug 10 2015 - Oath when?

Before the test we were told that, if we passed the test, oath would be in 3-5 months. After the test we were given a paper in which the same was stated (3-5 months) and also had instructions for the ceremony; the Citizenship Officer said 2 months, but I was skeptic and indeed I was right. Since...

Tracking June 2015 Citizenship Application - Please Share your Timeline

It's not "so long after DM," my wait is still under the predicted for my citizenship office. The office inviting people fast for oath is Montréal, all other offices wait way longer, even though some few have been invited already. For Vancouver, we're both told and given a paper that says our...

    Confusion about minor citizenship.

By which I mean: your child would still need to meet residency requirements to maintain PR status (2 out of 5 years), but wouldn't need to meet 3 out of 4 years for citizenship, this part would have been on you only.

    Confusion about minor citizenship.

Having valid PR status isn't the same as meeting regular residency citizenship requirements (which you would have to fulfill, not your child).

    Confusion about minor citizenship.

As far as I know, kids don't have to fulfill the residency requirements as long as the parent does, so you could have included your child in your application (and they'd have become a citizen in the same day as you).

    Urgent Processing reasoning

You don't have to give them your reasons for travelling abroad. At least I didn't back in May (when I renewed my card) and I didn't read anything in their instruction guide either. You only need to prove them you have roundtrip tickets fully paid for.

Don't worry, it's gonna be alright. Just study the booklet, and try to relax (I know it may be hard). :)
