E-cas updated with Oath ceremony! The citizenship application has been smooth and fast for me. 5 months and 3 weeks from application received to oath ceremony. So much faster than for my PR application which took over 22 months for the federal part alone! (maybe some of you remember the "Forgotten of Buffalo" for those who applied at the Consulate of Buffalo in 2012-2013). Quite interesting that becoming a citizen was 10x easier and faster for me than becoming a PR. Looking forward to taking the oath and finalizing the last step of the Canadian immigration process.

I've updated the excel spreadsheet.

Dates:
File received: June 2nd 2015
Test: October 27th 2015
Decision made: October 30th 2015
Oath: November 24th 2015

Congratulations on the completion of your application process. May I know your Visa Office? Becuase the rate at which your application was processed is super amazing.

Hi Miriam, I wonder why your oath invite take so long after DM, any idea ?

It's not "so long after DM," my wait is still under the predicted for my citizenship office. The office inviting people fast for oath is Montréal, all other offices wait way longer, even though some few have been invited already. For Vancouver, we're both told and given a paper that says our oath would be 3-5 months after we pass the test, and for me it hasn't even been 2 yet.

Thanks. The timeline that was given to me and everyone that I overheard while waiting in the room was 2 to 4 months.

Congrats !!!. Shall we say your PR process was during Conservatives dark era and Citizenship Oath in the Liberal Government Era..... ;D

Indeed, CIC had literally slog majority of the applicants for years on one or other pretext. Now, its sigh of relief for all applicants.

Despite being apolitical such things cannot go unnoticed...... Anyway, its good news, congrats.

Passed the test and interview today. Oath expected in one month. congrats to all who took test today (12 nov, 2015)
cheers
