    English Language Proof

I'll try to find more information from CIC call centre. To me it looks like I'd be fine and meet the language requirements, but I'd rather know if I should take a language test or not, and have some peace of mind. When I had my first application returned two years ago, everything was complete...

    Documents submission funny question

No, it was the translation company. They gave it to me that way.

    Documents submission funny question

Same here, I might as well remove the staples from the translations. Although, I do wonder if that wouldn't make it look unreliable? I don't know... The way I organize things are using post-its of different colours.

    Documents submission funny question

The only mention to no stapling I could find in the guide refers to the photographs. But when my sponsor and I sent in the sponsorship application for me, we were told not to staple anything even though there was no written rule (that I remember of, at the time) about that.

    Documents submission funny question

I had both of my passports' stamps not in English of French translated, and the translations plus photocopies of all pages plus the certification were all stapled together in two documents (one for each passport). Should I remove the staples then?

No Tax Assessments to include in PR Renewal (Additional documents questions)

I just did — hopefully it'll turn out okay. When I was gathering the documents, I called CIC and the officer told me to include my T4 slips, and explain why I did not have a tax assessment (it's my first year filing taxes, I didn't work for the most part I was in Canada and just got my first job...

Going my home country for long time after submitting citizenship application?

Thank you. I thought I'd have to fax something, though — e.g. proof that I'm attending school elsewhere but will come back.

Travel Days to USA : No Stamps on Passport : What to do

How can I request it? Thanks. Edited to add: I found it.

Going my home country for long time after submitting citizenship application?

I'm likely leaving the country after applying for citizenship (attending a 10-month study program abroad), and I'm most definitely going to inform CIC of the absence before my departure. I'm going to send the application first, and when/if I get the visa and know for sure that I'm going, I'll...

    English Language Proof

Had you read my question, you would have noticed that I have checked the instruction guide, which is why my question was specific as to what they would look into but may not having been cited in the guide (or perhaps I had just missed it). Canada.

Univeristy Transcript- Official and Unofficial Issue - Please advise

I don't get it. CIC officially requests photocopies of the official transcripts; how come one would/could get in trouble for providing a transcript not in a sealed envelope? I opened the envelopes when I received the official transcripts. Do I have to request new ones and send them sealed? Thanks.

    Name change before Citizenship application.

Hello, I've gotten a legal name change and am applying for a renewal of PR Card (CIC received the application on May 6th). However: the name on my passport is still the same from when I landed (in my birth country there is no legal name change except for in extreme cases, which is not my case)...

Does CIC accept Notice of assessment online printout?

I would like to know that as well. I have applied for renewal of PR Card without it, but as per CIC officer I provided an explanation (it's my first time filing for taxes), as well as supporting evidence (T4 slips), but if they ask for the assessment (or for when I mail in my citizenship...

    English Language Proof

Hi, Just to be on the safe side here: I "successfully finished a secondary or post-secondary program in English or French" (2-year Diploma in Criminology) and am including both my official transcript (as well as other official transcripts to cover the education records portion) and a copy of my...
