BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

The idea is that, for 99% of people, it will not take longer than 12 months from the time you receive the AOR to the time you get PR status.

BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

    1. I don't know if it makes a difference but it appears you qualify either way for a new WP. 2. As your promotion came AFTER you applied for PR, it will have no effect on your file.

    Fake Canadian Immigration Team

More people should follow the bolded segment. It's exactly how I operate too. Sometimes I have even received voicemails of people starting their scam script before they realise no one is on the other end of the line...

BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Nope, the Work Permit just shows up by mail at your designated address. And it's just the WP in a Canada government envelope...no cover letter, nothing else.

landed in a place different from the residence address

Second this. You will want at least 3 hours as a minimum. Remember you will likely have to switch terminals within the airport as well as collect baggage, clear customs, immigration and landing. Given you arrive at 8:15pm you may want to consider waiting until the next morning? It's up to you...

    CEC processing stages

That makes more sense. He is by your own account the partner in a business, therefore he is not "employed" by anyone other than his own company. If you qualify for CEC based on your own merits and can prove you are an employee, you may be able to get approval as principal applicant rather than...

    CEC processing stages

You've already noted you have a T4 salary, and that CPP and EI is paid on your behalf by your employer. These are very good signs but I imagine immigration's concern is that you are related by marriage to the owner (now partner). It's possible in Immigration's eyes that he created a position for...

And mine should be here next week. Any idea what happened in Sydney that caused such a sharp drop in wait times? Did they hire a whole bunch of temps? :P

How to keep the permanent resident status

Firstly, your parents cannot lose PR status until they are reported for breaching the RO. They are still PRs today and even after their cards expire. This all depends on how events go at the border. 1. There is no guarantee of what will happen at the border, and travelling by car may or may not...

    Marrying in the United States

A marriage outside of Canada will be recognised by Canada if it was done lawfully. I got married in Australia to my wife for the same reason (for family to attend) and the only paperwork we had to worry about was the legal stuff in Australia to register. Once you get back, if anyone requires...
