GOOD NEWS!!! Bill C-6 Citizenship Act was passed in second reading

You're kidding me. No, actually the government is kidding us! Good luck government, I'm with you all the way! Can't believe the grumpy, old, fat men in the Senate would be so nice as to gift us a new bill on Canada day! :)

    Immigration/Express Entry Q1 2016 Quarterly report (~86,000 PRs granted)

That's what I keep saying. They are clearing the backlog at the moment - the number of ITAs is going to go up drastically either later this year or early next year. It's not going to be around 780-800 forever!

I'm talking about 189, not 190. Good luck with 190 state sponsorship - you not only need 55 points, each state has additional requirements that you have to meet. For example, an additional 3 years of experience (beyond those required for skills assessment) + skills relevant to the industry in...

    CEC - August 2014 application

Assuming you received RPRF already (passed eligibility), why stressing about landing? What would it matter if it took another 2 years? You are already in Canada and can keep renewing work permit indefinitely.

GOOD NEWS!!! Bill C-6 Citizenship Act was passed in second reading

Anyone saying it will be passed in 2 weeks has not the slightest clue about the stages a bill has to go through before getting Royal Assent! No one can tell at this point. Probably yes, but the Senate can still suggest amendment so that the 3/5 rule does not apply retroactively to those...

Any correlation between immigration plan 2016 and high CRS cutoff point?

Correction: pre-2015, not pre-2014. And looking at the trend, it seems they'll be done with the backlog in 2/3 months. However, there are two other factors coming into play: - increased intake of refugees this year means number of EE ITAs, if it does go up, might hover around 1000 again...

    CRS Score Calculation

I don't see anything wrong with that. That link is demonstrating how to do google search for the CRS calculator. Would be pretty useful for some people. : p

I know, said just for the sake of simplicity. IELTS all 7 is almost CLB9. Reaching 60 without good English is extremely hard, you'd need years and years of experience.

Can I send the citizenship application early

So you want to put 3rd July as the date on your application while it's not 3rd July yet? That's very dishonest if you ask me.

In case of Aus PR, if you have less than CLB 9 you get 0 points for English.

    Suggestion for Migration

As I said before, I am very familiar with both the old pre-EE system and following the current EE trend. There is nothing random. The draws are made to meet a fixed immigration target. Just when they started issuing PRs to pre-EE applicants in vast numbers (after a long hold), EE number of...

    Suggestion for Migration

Extremely misleading. On the surface it looks like another points based system. But it's actually a two step process, the first of which involves skills assessment (differs between professions, so certainly not straightforward) and you could lose years of experience to be assessed +ve, leaving...

    Suggestion for Migration

Canada is easier. Wait for more # of ITAs in the 4th quarter or next year.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR EXPRESS ENTRY

Can you turn off CAPS? Everyone here can read small letters, thanks.

    37th draw -> guess

And they have issues lots of PR visas to pre-EE applicants during the first half of the year, so they are well set to meet their economic immigration target this year.

    36th draw with 488 points

First one is a fact (not some theory), so there's really no room for another theory.

    CEC - August 2014 application

For most people it's the other way around.

    36th draw with 488 points

There's nothing to try since March 2014. It was before EE, you could apply to FSW or CEC right away if you qualified. If not, then there was nothing you could try but wait to complete your year of experience.

    International work experience expired!

You worked while physically here and, more importantly, paid taxes to CRA. It wont be considered foreign experience, but not sure if it can be considered valid Canadian experience either (for CEC).
