anyone recall the info before about the color of the test invite? I read somewhere a lot of people got yellow test invite, we got ours in white, are there any distinct differences on test invite paper colors?
We sent you a notice on August 20, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment...
Well, from what we all assume, a routine application is no hiccups - no RQ, no mini-RQ, no further forms, no further questions from CIC. I believe they would still need to verify with CBSA and/or the US side those trips; which may take time.
so it can go both ways:
1. ecas update, then letter later
2. letter comes in first, then ecas updates with test invitation
but from a wild guess from reading this forum, test invite letters come in first and ecas updates (much) later or does not update at all for most cases
For those who have gotten the test invite and your ecas reflected this; did you see the ecas update first then receive the letter a few days later? Or you receive the letter from the mail first then ecas gets updated later?
Thanks.
So basically, a number of the people who have the same timeline in the March batch have already received noticed their test; Coming from Surrey, Vancouver, London, Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton.
Come on Ottawa, some movement please.....
Yes, if CBSA/CIC's records and your declaration do not tally, it would raise doubts on the validity and authenticity on the other facts declared on your application (eg work history etc).
There is no standard on processing times as each applicant, each individual, and their location's case is unique. CIC is dealing with human beings with varied stories, backgrounds and cases.
Yes your case is simple - to your eyes, as with thousands of other applicants.

I had a similar issue. My eCas had been active for long time. Around Easter holidays, I was not able to log in and was getting a message that information you entered is not valid.
So, they I called CIC and the agent suggested me...
