the next step is for CIC to transfer it to your local office then they will decide uf you nee to submit additional documents, go to an interview then do the test
they can also request additional Docs or interview after the test

so it could be any time between 3 months to 1 year

I thought the interview happens on the same day as the test? Has that changed?

I have a friend that was interviewed before
I guess it all depends on each particular case

Hi guys,

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 16, 2015. (I had a Toronto address at the time).

I have since changed my address to Gatineau.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 2, 2015.
We started processing your application on June 12, 2015.
Your file was transferred to the office responsible for your area on June 18, 2015. The office responsible for your area will contact you.

I called CIC, they couldnt confirm my local office! Is the local office Toronto or Ottawa? How do I find out in this case?

In approximately how many months can I expect to be invited to the test now?

Are you referring to "Acknowledgement of Receipt? If yes, did you mention your email address in the application? If yes, you might have received acknowledgement in the email and if you did receive it in the email, you won't get it by postal mail. The email will have a pdf attachment that will describe all the information.

No, i didnt mention my email in the application. Although my process now is transfer to local, i still havent receive that Acknowledgement of Receipt so i am worried about it.

If you can access your application status online on e-cas then it means your application has been accepted. AOR just means that the application has been accepted and it has general information about test etc.

You can call the call centre at 1-888-242-2100 and ask them if they can re-send AOR

You can access "Discover Canada" guide from the following link:
