AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

From most people I've seen in this thread DM on ECAS means you will be getting a PPR soon via email (usually within a week) and MyCIC will not show DM until you've sent in the reply to the PPR and have your COPR mailed back to you.

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

You'll get it soon enough! And yes they trickle in within a few days! If it makes you feel better, many of us took 8+ weeks in background check. Although that was probably an end of year quota/holiday issue, it CAN take a long time. Hopefully you'll hear something this week!

    SEPTEMBER 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS >>>>>>>

I don't think the length of time has anything to do with it. Many of us Ottawa applicants had a 8+ week BC and none of us have had to do an interview before case closed (BC back in November and DM in January).

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I think it might be just for those from visa-exempt countries but not sure exactly. Either way that's awesome if so, sounds like it, congrats!

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yeah same here...however keep in mind the barcode SHOULD be on Annex A not the barcode that comes at the top of the email (the Annex A barcode is the only one that matters) but if you copy and pasted it into Word you omitted the barcode. However keep in mind the barcode just expedites their data...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yeah the photo thing always worries me as CIC seems to be very particular (much more than US immigration)...on top of that I didn't send in the barcode because it was cut off from my copy and paste >_<

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I guess we will see. Generally speaking you can probably be sure it will take at least 24-48 hours before anyone even looks at what you sent them. My "guess" is you guys will have the COPR mailed back by Friday this week...or sure hope so based on what I've seen in the past!

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Anyone who mailed Ottawa in response to the PPR have their return envelope mailed back yet? Mine was delivered today in Ottawa so I am prepared to wait, just curious.

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

In my last 10 years of shipping and receiving hundreds of packages every year I have not lost 1 package tracked or not. I would highly argue it was NOT lost but rather just hasn't been mailed by Ottawa yet...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I used FedEx both ways. You need to fill out the customs forms both ways as well. If you send it via FedEx Priority you don't need a customs form for documents, but if you are going Ground, you need to fill out a customs declaration each way. Just make sure if you do that, that you list the...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

FYI for anyone who is mailing in documents from the US via FedEx ground you MUST declare a value on the customs (at least $1) even for documents. I mailed them in with a $0 customs and was told by FedEx they can't process it like that. Either way I just had to fax in a new customs form so it...
