AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Here is some info on what an amendment page is: http://www.uspassporthelpguide.com/us-passport-visa-pages-vs-endorsement-pages/ "Of particular importance is the difference between the Visa and the endorsement pages. The endorsement pages are not a separate entity from the passport itself –...

You're right that's the "safest" strategy but I'm 99% sure they only care about the "amendments" pages (the last 3 of your passport).

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I tried googling this and from what I understood they are looking only for the last 3 or so pages of your passport (the ones that say endorsements/amendments, etc). Usually those are only used if you've had a name change or something similar and if its blank you don't need to send those in. I...

MyCIC still hasn't updated (shows in-process for background check) despite ECAS DM and receiving an email. It's possible they are sending the emails in batches so you maybe you will get it next week or so? The other thing is, have you or your spouse checked their spam folder? Lastly, I would...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

The email said if I had a passport from a country that required a Visa I had to mail the passport but if I had a passport from an eTA country or the United States I had to mail in a photocopy of my passport and 2 passport photos (and a prepaid envelope). The email said that if I want the COPR...

I'm familiar with the clipping of messages. What surprised me was it shows up on my mobile phone but NOT my desktop. So on a computer there was no note the message was clipped, yet the form is clearly missing. I had to do the print preview to get the full form.

All they needed to do was provide a PDF attachment of Annex A. I am shocked honestly...its formatting 101 that you never have an official document sent in the body of an email if it is meant to be printed out. Too many variables between email clients + browsers/computers.

OOPS. I just realized I mailed mine out without the barcode....I don't think I noticed that when I first printed it out >:( Yes a screenshot + paste would do the trick. I think I'll be ok because they can find the application using the Application # and UCI # the barcode just makes it easier...

Mine was cut off too. The ONLY way I got around it was to print the ENTIRE email as a pdf and then print the pdf out. If you use Gmail that was the issue I had (the webpage viewer cut it off and didn't format it properly, but the PDF version looked normal). Copy and paste didn't work for me...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yes I was bending the rules a bit (since they don't ask for a signature just the name of the facility)...but in all honesty my photographs were better quality than any other photographs I have ever seen from a local pharmacy....That being said yes I took a risk but unfortunately no one here was...

Well the point is the website makes them to the proper specifications and it will give you 4 photos of that exact spec on a 4x6. Just printed it today for 29 cents! Going to cut them and write the proper info on the back and mail them in today, wish me luck! This way any photography studio would...

FYI I just used this to make the passport photos: http://www.idphoto4you.com I selected Canada passport photos because that was the only one with the correct size according to the spec sheet (5x7 cm). Then it will generate for you 4 passport photos on a 4x6 image you can print for 29 cents at...

    1) It lists it right there in the email: CPC – Ottawa – PR 365 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1 2) Usually in a few days from what I've seen. I'm actually not going to call. It seems they need it for the PR card so I'll just send in new photos >:( Also, for those having trouble reading...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

It's not all bad news! I have read that even non visa exempt PPR requests have a less than 1 week turn around time. I believe we literally would have our COPR mailed back within 1-2 business days from when they receive it. Personally for me an extra week or two isn't a big deal so I am just...

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

That makes sense. Kind of strange given that in the past it didn't seem to the case that they requested them. Also given how much we paid for the fee I'm shocked they are asking for a pre addressed envelope.

AUGUST 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I just got the same email. I'm going to call them up tomorrow. It seems weird you require 2 passport photos. The passport photos should only be required if you have a non visa-exempt passport as they need to print the Visa in your passport. In our case, they have no reason to need the passport...
