I have a similar timeline like you. Package was received on Oct 30, and AOR was issued in Jan. Paid RPRF in March and since then, No Updates.
I think the processing is OK for me cause a lot of July/August applicants haven't got their MR yet.
Basically, you're saying the people who did upfront medical tests will have their PPR 2 months earlier than people who didn't do upfront tests. Are you sure ? I thought they're the same regarding to the total time.

I can always remember my SSN number , but cannot remember my SIN number; BTW, there's a small card of your SSN number when you applied, and you may put it some where at home. Try to find it; Or check your US tax document.

According to the website, the processing time now is 16 months. It means you'll have your PR status approximately around Feb-Mar 2018.
No, they're two separate applications. Though you have to specify the visa you have when you do PNP application. I wait for my PGWP approved to apply the PNP. If you apply using study permit right now and you may need to update to work permit later when they process your OINP.
But I don't think the medical exam time matters, the overall processing time is still 16 months from the AOR date.
