This is not 100% correct, but these days I observed that people who get their medicals for them Application Status has changed to Inprocess.

I haven't received Biodata & RPRF with my medicals. I got my RPRF, Biodata & PPR last night. Updated the tracker. I need to take photographs, I will be sending the passports by Monday. Wishing you all the best for guys who are waiting for MR/PPR etc.

I suggest that you get it from Ahmedabad passport office, you would get it in 1 day and in this PCC they would mention your passport details etc., so in my personal view this would be a best option.

CECFEB2013: I am very sure that at the time of getting this passport, a police verification was done... Apply for PCC from BLS Toronto, as mentioned by "av300812" you would get your PCC in within 4-6 weeks...

At the time of applying for passport, police verification should happen. But in case of renewals or for some Tatkal passports, verification doesn't happen and will be in pending. When you apply for PCC, CGI would check their database, and if the database says that your verification is done, then...

PCC will be issued only by CGI. BLS would forward your application to CGI and it's CGI who would issue your PCC. BLS is just a third party which is authorized to collect your applications on behalf of CGI and they have no authority in issuing PCC. If PCC is Negative, they will not issue PCC...

Processing time mentioned by CGI is 4-6 weeks, but in my experience I saw people getting in 1 week and some people didn't get even after 11 months. It depends on case to case.

Ask your parents to check with a passport agent near the passport office where you got the passport in India and if he can help you.

Based on my experience, I would say if your new passport was issued at CGI Tornoto, and you are applying for PCC through CGI Toronto, it wouldn't take much time.
