This happened with me too. My ECAS changed to in process 2 months after I received MR and RPRF.

It's normal for the security process to be several months long for applicants from certain countries. I'm from Pakistan, and for applications that i have followed, the wait time for the security check can be 4-6 months.

Winterfox, I think most of the people on this thread are ones with their file under review because the duties don't match. I also believe wasters and yamahar (sp?) just got their MR or RPRF requests...

It won't speed up the process, but you'll get an idea of where your application is at.

Most MP offices should be familiar with the process. Just tell them how long you have been waiting and that you would just like to find out where your application is at. I'd give them the file number, client ID, name, date of birth. They will let you know if there is anything else they need.
