Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

If you are referring to the return envelope, CIC will not return mail via UPS. If you have included a UPS return envelope, then you passports will be sent back via regular Canada Post mail.

    Administrative Refusals

My understanding is that they take your passports and enter the administrative refusal in the system. Its not as simple as just getting a piece of paper anonymously.

    Administrative Refusals

I think you may have misunderstood. I was merely pointing out that the US border staff at Prescott told me that I would have to declare the refusal if asked in the future. This does not mean i would be rejected, but would just be another hurdle to deal with.

    Landing Appointments (inland)

Matt, that was very informative. CIC told me it'll be 4-6 weeks to get an appointment. 8 weeks max. Good luck with your in-land landing and let us know how it goes.

    Administrative Refusals

I've waited almost 14 months already, so 4 weeks isn't that bad. Work will keep me from landing for the next 2 weeks anyway. I'm curious about your appointment experience. Care to elaborate?

I have my COPR, and I called CIC today. They say it's 4-6 weeks.

    Administrative Refusals

So I've been looking into options for landing. I've never been rejected or refused entry to any country, so I've been a little wary of the "administrative refusal". I decided to call up a couple of the US borders to see what their take on it was, and (surprise surprise), got conflicting views...

    COPR and Dependents

Hi guys, Our COPRs don't have our daughter listed as a dependent (she is a Canadian citizen). I'm assuming they just mean accompanying dependents, but just wanted to make sure that this is normal. Can forum members with canadian kids confirm?

Difference between VISA NOTES AND GCMS

I'm glad the caps lock issue with your keyboard has been resolved. As for your original question, I'm not sure I've ever heard of visa notes on this forum or anywhere else. In fact, if you look at court documents for judicial reviews, you will notice that the GCMS/CAIPS notes are the gold...

cgel and lithium, thanks for the responses. It's just that when I had sent my passports, it had changed to In Transit that very night. I'm in Calgary, so hopefully it shows me a change in status tomorrow.

Mine hasn't changed to In Transit either. And I know from previous experience that it usually should change to In Transit pretty soon. Could someone who has received their passports back comment on how long it took to go from Item Processed to In Transit?
