OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Or almost never. I'm convinced there is one person updating that site and only when they're in the mood to do so. If it was automated then there wouldn't be so many discrepancies. Makes me laugh :)

Question about the time gap between signatures of the sponsored and the sponsor

I'm sure it's fine. Clearly they have to understand that people are often apart the knees things are being prepared. I wouldn't worry about it

I'm with Tracy. It seems emptier without you on here. Reading your update brought tears to my eyes. Just breaks my heart what you are going through. I really hope it works out for you. Fingers and toes crossed!

OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Definitely a big relief. I know it's more waiting but somehow it seems still more bearable because at least something has happened.

How to spend least amount of time apart

That's interesting. I wouldn't have thought you could if you were living in Canada but I certainly don't know all the rules :)

    American married to a Canadian.

She should get a passport. It makes no sense not to have one. Americans are automatically allowed to spend up to six months per year visiting in Canada without an actual visa. You cannot move here. It is just visiting. So you need to prove that you have sufficient ties back in the USA in...

They can still apply as Outland if they're here living in Canada on a working holiday visa?

How to spend least amount of time apart

What's the max amount of time Germans can just stay for visit? Could just visit, go back/extend or some combination like that. That's basically what my hubby is doing. I go there to visit or he comes here (although its no Germany so it's easier for us). Sometimes the visits are shorter and...

McCallum said his "top priority" is to reduce the processing times

Mardek is right actually. In the discussions I've been having with my MP he mentioned these "changes" but even said to me that it'd be too late to help me. The Liberals are not going to save your day. To be honest, even if it was the Conservatives neither would they.

OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Ah. Hadn't heard of them before. I checked with H&R block and they basically said I had to enter his annual income (converted to CAD) but also mark him as non-resident. My scenario is we're married, outbound application, he is non-resident, he is employed in the US and lives in the US. I do...

OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Well it was a quick response. They said they'd call me to chat more either on Friday or Monday and nothing yet. I honestly feel like I am having to be a giant PITA just to get anywhere. I feel bad. I hate feeling this way. But it's like I have no choice.

OCTOBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

So I emailed my MP, the premier and John Mccallum a very lengthy letter this morning. My MP called me about 5 mins after I clicked send and said they're going to try to help me out. I'm at 121 days and no SA. Fingers crossed!
